Wheels are getting cut.......Pined knock off.....Cut in the back side of the rear wheels to allow for the backing of the brakes to set inside so it;s flush from under the car. This will help to accommodate the Kinmont brake's. I also had the lip rounded off front side and back to replicate the old look of a Halibrand, should look real nice next week.
Wow, that thing is looking beautiful! Despite whether you decide to show it or not, I sure hope you drive the wheels off of it!

Never saw this thread before, cool! I love Rudy's work. He has to wake with a****** each day after dreming of what he'll get to create the next day. I can also say that some of my money is in that car! Wink wink. Frozen money too. Went out to Lars a few years back, Had some cash left in a freezer for me to pick up, after I sold a 36 three winder. Met up with Wild Bill, and that car was bought. It was my doe that helped float the sale of that 34. I got a 32 three window back home in trade for my cash waiting for me when I returned to the East Coast. 32 went to Italy because I need to raise a son, not build a sick race car... yet! The rest is history, or your biz with what happend next. That is a beautiful car, and now even better that Rudy got a hold of it. He is like one of the only guys where the cars in his shop do all the talking, not his walls. Rad car!!!

IT'S A 33 BY THE WAY NOT A 34....... Not sure who this is.....I traded this car from Rick and I sold a pines to some dude on EBAY.......He had bought the car from Bill at the Ford Store.....Must be some connection that I am not privy too.....Cant wait to hear. Scott
Not sure if I called your car a 34 or if I was talking bout my roadster or sedan. Sorry. I was with Rick in Cali. for the Lars show a few years ago. We met up with Bill at the Early Ford store and 1st saw the 33 together. Rick wanted it so bad but was unsure if he wanted to jump into it. I had just sold a 36 three window to another Hamber here. I knew I would be out for Lars so I told him to meet up with my sister in law to dump the cash with her. When we arrived in Ca., the cash was put in a freezer as she wasn't going to be home and needed a safe spot to stash it. We rolled into her town, got the key from under a flower pot and retrieved the cash and went. So before Lars started, I really pushed Rick that day to buy the 33 cause he wanted it bad. I made a deal with him that day to buy his 32 three window which was back home. Hence, my cash was rolled into that car. We were both happy. We were also now broke for Lars. Hahahaa. But as you know, we maniacs are never happy with what we have, and always want something else. So he traded you his 33 coupe for your 33/34 roadster. Now you and him are happy!!! But, I was still unhappy! So, I sold my 32 three window to Italy, and found a nice barn find 34 roadster which I'm now patiently waiting to build.... since I'm broke! But happy. Hahahahaa. What you did with that car rules, I love it. Glad you love it, and picked a hell of a guy to do some killer work to it. Good luck with her.
Oh... Rick also likes to really chop cars hard. He had a tough time trying to get his head around chopping that car, as she is so nice. I think that struggle, helped you get that car. Which is nice as your not chopping it. Plus Rick got the roadster he always wanted.
Well, that makes for good reading and now we have some history on the car. I talked to Rick now and again and he does love the Roadster that I could never get my head around because it was not a coupe. Thanks for the words on the car and it has come out better than I thought, I am glad I never chopped it, I almost did....Rudy still wants to chop that*****er. I am also never happy until I get all the cars i want.....I just picked up this 32 Vicky........From Red, very nice car.
I'm really enjoying this build! Wow... I thought I was the only one that thought that way... when I bought my Cabriolet 39 years ago the pickin's were slim in Ohio... I still wanted a coupe so we used a Tudor roof to make a removable coupe top...
