Man Scott, the suspense is killing me. I actually considered driving up to Brea to see it in person, lol
Ok we cut it......here are some pics that I took while Rudy cut that mother.....Small chop 3/14, don't want a crazy chop, thats been done. I went for the trim......
I bet that's close to what mine's chopped only they took a little less out of the back......which is why I want to redo it.
Whats left to do.....The rest of the whole thing, lean back the A pillar and lean forward the top of the A pillar......Cut into the back and put it all together......about three weeks worth of work. The engine is all done and the rear end is all done...... Scott
thank you so much for not doing an angle wedge micro windshield chop on it...i mean , they are cool, but becoming a lil overdone..., the one Rudy did years ago was awesome...but glad to see there was restraint...looks beautifull...
Yes, I don't want a chop thats been done over and over again and don't like the look of a radical chop, at least for me. I like it to just take the pop off the original the ford did.....It's a shame I waited this long, because the frame is powder coated and the rest if the parts are all plated and sitting on the table. Engine and rear end over on there stands.......Were waiting now.
Very nice. Amazing how much a Model 40 benefits from having the lid lowered a little bit. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Rudy did her right! Nicely proportioned. The car is going to be a killer! Too heavy a chop on a car looks worse than a "too tall" stock roof.
Xmas came early this year when Ferguson dropped off the engine.....The chop is coming along good......Truck to pay for the rest of the car.....33 ford roadster, very nice truck.
Now to find someone with one of these who wants your left nut.... :what: Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Engine looks fantastic. Rudy does wonderful work. Looks like everything is in hand, but on my 33 the oil filler is very close to the firewall. It may be that the finned casting you have could be turned 180 degrees??? It looks like it slopes ngently to the rear. If it does, if it could slope gently to the front without touching anything it might be useful. Mart.
