My First TIG welds ever and I did them on Aluminum

The only reason (to me) that aluminum is more difficult, is because it doesnt change color. It is easy to get to much heat and end up with a quarter sized hole cause your trying to get good penetration. If you get in a rhythm (thus the drum lessons) you be fine.

Havent read the "clean" word yet.
If your **** welding especially,file the edges.
Big thing to tig aluminum is clean , with a file, a new file,not one that was used on steel before. If you want to wire brush it, use a new brush and keep those tools just for aluminum.
