If u look at the rear 1/4' s on my blue '69 you'll see the side markers were above the body seam which is weird it had factory panels all around with 1 respray . It was a blue non metallic inky blue but it was purple under the street lights, my buddy said it is a Jag color. Now it's black with silver stripes, I see it all the time it's a local owner.

  3. I love the red interior in the camaro. Those 68 steering wheels are hard to find without a bunch of cracks. I had to pay up for a nice one for my chevelle

Yes, John used to always say that the red interior with the red exterior was not a common combination. Guess
    he was right. Thanks.

It was probably modified by another car rear ending it :D [you can see the gaps in the trunk in the photo]
The car was a real P.O.S that actually put me off Camaros for a very long time.

I had some luck and swapped it for a 71 Mustang Fastback [he loved Chevys and I loved Fords]

Here I'm racing it at Baypark Raceway against my friend Paul's T bucket

In NZ the Ford Mustang is a wiser choice back then [The economy was very restrictive on importing] Most components from the locally available Aussie XA Falcon could be used on them

Of all the first gen cars I've had only one that was a factory D80 car with a factory cowl hood.

Then there's this. A non Yenko, Double COPO, L72 427, Camaro. No stripes, no spoilers, no RS, no badging, does have a cowl hood. Talk about a plain jane street rocket.

Here are my former Camaros, also my first two cars.

I bought the first one when I turned 16 for $1,100 off my Uncle Jack. It was a 71 RS , 307, 2-barrel, 3-speed on the floor, with a console. The photo was taken in my high school parking lot. Uncle Jack ***embled it from parts cars he kept to repair his dirt track stock car pictured below my first car.

The second was a 72 RS Z-28, 350, 4-speed, AC, power steering, power brakes, and cloth interior. I think I paid $2,500 for it. I bought it when I was 18. I should have held onto this one.
