I'm typing this with tears in my eyes. My friend Thom Butler died last night at the age of 40. I'm heartbroken, he was a true friend, an amigo, a bikeriding buddy. He invited me into his loose group of motosickle buddies called the VOMC some 9 years ago. The VOMC was just a bunch of pals brought together by some patches he found in an embroidery shop. No one was ever clear to as what VOMC stood for, but for me it was a brotherhood of simpletons that enjoyed riding our motorcycles from hither to yon. I can't believe I'm writing an obit for a friend that was two years younger than I. But there it is folks. I'm gonna miss his smile more than can words could say. He was a guy that words can't describe, so all I can say is that I'm priveliged he considered me a friend. He left behind a window by the name of Sandrine. Send out a prayer for his pals and family, please. I loved my pal Thom more than words can say and I'll miss him for as long as I live. Godspeed Thom, I hope we can ride our sickles up in the heavens together once more. Your friend forever, Nadeem.
I don't know you or Thom, but I'm really sorry to hear that. It's the worst losing someone your close to. He'll be in my prayers.

That sucks man , it is always a shitty deal to outlive your friends . That's the good and the bad of it . Keep your head up and honour his memory .
Hey Nads, sorry to hear the sad news. Sounds like he was a great compadre. Be thankful for the time you had together, and look forward to riding together again some day. Hang in there brother, I'll be thinkin' of ya.
Nads Good friends do not grow on trees. It is always hard to lose one. My prayers and condolences go to you and his family

My heart goes out to you my friend. Me and all my old friends are approaching the age when I begin to wonder who'll be the first. A day that I will surely regret.
.......he is well remembered and that says a lot about who he was. We never know when it will end (if it actually does??) We need to live right, treat people fairly and enjoy every minute.....Be well Nads..........
That sucks man, I'm Sorry. It's wierd, my mom died 10 years ago and I've had a couple other friends die since. Sometimes I find myself wondering who is the next person that I know, that will die. It scares me. It's hard to become close to people sometimes because of it. I don't take this stuff too well. Sorry.
I'm sorry... I lost my 31 yr old brother in law (who introduced me to my wife) a year ago in an accidental fall, and my 13 yr old dog jake on sunday who I had since he was 5 weeks old... death is so common but it still rips at you.
I am truely sorry to hear about the loss of your bud. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family during this very difficult time.
