  10. Lookin' good! Man this came together quick. I like the '46(?) steering wheel choice and the ashtray is pretty keen...

Yeah what Ron said...I remember you and Barb talking about her dream build at the Father's Day show. That was quick. Nice build. Maroon is one of my top 2 color choices, I like it.

  12. Super nice. If that's a 'chick's car' - I want one!

  13. Don't let Randy drive it Barb! You remember what he did to that poor kids Pick-up with his Modified! He's a dangerous man,lol....

Randy take some great shots of them together and post those please, I love your car. My girl Robin & I met you two @ Bad Bobs BBQ and this build was just a conversation then, its great to see it came out so nice.
Some Mercury hubcaps would look nice. Hi Barb, (lucky).

    That's a nice looking roadster.

Is the dash panel a little bigger than stock to accommodate a full size Auburn panel or is that one of the scaled down Auburn style panels?

Again thanks all for the great comments.

i will try and answer some questions in the thread.

the dash insert is made by Knecht of Texas, and is a true piece of jewelery, the dash is by Brookville and was the first one they did, a coupe dash with glovebox for a roadster. Hellbound Hot Rods is in Lancaster,Ca,and yea Aaron puts a car together fairly quickly as promised. He also built Marcos roadster"Thunder-rod". I was pm'd about the turn signal, its an original we had re-chromed,donated by the builder out of his "stash".

  21. Very nice, have a great time with it! The way the weather in SoCal has been you'll get lots of seat time in it as soon as it's ready.

  22. I likes! Love the color

That is a sweet looking nostalgia roadster. You're gonna love driving it Barb! Come on up to LA when it is done and let's go cruise you and I. It'll be fun! I am so glad you had it built traditional looking, as opposed to the modern ones with big radials on them... You have excellent taste.

Now you need to get it dirty ;)

yes Ma'am :) I am launching a new cruising revival up here. the idea: Meet up at Bob's and then after hanging out for a bit to look at cars and talk to friends, we actually head out and CRUISE.

    Wow. What a concept! LOL

So cruise night is actually really CRUISE night (not "sit-in-a-parking-lot-all-night" night LOL).

I did the first cruise last friday and we had a nice, small group of cool looking hotrods and the nicest people. All are dying to do this again, so we are going to continue the cruising, with various destinations, such as bowling alleys, swing dancing clubs, sunset strip cafes, Mels drive in, or other 50's diners, Mullholland scenic drive etc... Or whatever strikes our fancy ;).

We really had a blast. You are invited to join us, PM me your contact info and I'll call you when your rod is done so you can join us.
