I was in northern MN this weekend for a family Christmas at my uncles house. And, like usual we started talking about cars and hot rods and whatnot, and he tells me, "Remember that '53 Coronet that I gave you?" And I'm like, oh, no. Cuz I knew it couldn't be good news. And he says that he was in his salvage yard the other day and saw that the heads, intake, carb and all fasteners were missing off of the complete motor. I was heartbroken. The engine was stuck and expensive to build, but it was MY hemi! The bad thing is, is that its not at his house to watch the thieves come back for the block, so almost impossible to catch the guys. Sorry, just had to vent my bad news from the weekend.
ahhh **** that ****in ****S, thieves are ***holes. I know the feeling you have right now, ive had some stuff ripped off too. In the words of pshchodameon "Hang em High!"
Some thief somewhere is probably gloating about his big score! That almost ****s as bad as the twirps who like to shoot bullet holes in the vintage car bodies that others have stashed out on their back 40!
It was at my uncles private yard, I figured it'd be safe keeping there. Now we're goin to go and get everything else old from the yard and bring it to his place.
