Definitely be something to not forget about. Or if someone else were to drive the car, like your wife, girlfriend, whatever.. Oops!

I sure dig the car though.

If it's been done before, nice. If it's been done to death, snore.

    I haven't owned a metal body hot rod since 1972 :)

    Don't need the agravation...

I agree....it probably is heavier than 1,600. I weighed my '33 that runs a nailhead and 4-speed and it came in at 2,290 (without me in it). Regardless, that thing should fly.

You're right about the weight. That was a typo! It weighs in at 1800lbs.(Crudely weighed).

It is a glass body, the Hemi is the lightest production engine of it's size ever, and the interior only has a driver's seat!

The rain has really put a damper on taking more pics, but I will post some soon.

I could take that HEMI off your hands...;o) Nice work. Not a thing I would change. I love that you mixed it up. I just bought a more modern motor for the Desoto, but I'm running a carb. Excellent, fabulous, wonderful! I agree, more pictures!

Here's a shot of the KSE Racing Power Steering unit, and the Street & Performance Computer/Harness.

There's only one bundle of wires out through the lower firewall, which I'm fabbing a port for, they run up the back of the motor and branch out under the engine cover.

The 2nd photo also shows how I ran the wires to the back of the car through a wire channel on the floor. The Dynamat with Dynamat Extreme Liner on top bulk up to the same height, so the carpet should lay over nicely.

As you can see firewall is jamb-packed, with Vintage Air Mini Gen II above the Computer, and the Ron Francis Wiring Harness above that.

I'm awaiting a Hurst Shifter and still trying to get the Speedo and Tach working before I really putting it through it's paces. Until then, I'm installing the Jute Carpet and repro Bomber Seats with Pontiac Fiero Seat Tracks.

After that, I'll start fabbing interior panels, which will be covered in marine-grade vinyl, and I'm thinking maple roof bows with red oak bead board headliner.

    More photos to come.

Good looking car. Sits good. I am not a fan of engine covers especially plastic OE engine covers. A car is a machine and should look like one.

  21. I like everything except the plastic engine cover. Maybe you could switch over to a different setup on the top-end . . . new manifold and 4 barrel - something that looks a bit more traditional. With that said, I sure like the car and would drive the heck out of it as is . . . just some suggestions.

Paint the plastic engine cover to match the body.
    Problem solved.

Great looking car, doesn't Inglese make injector stacks for that motor? ooo man 8 stacks on top of that would look so sweet. But as it is i would drive the shit out of that thing. Awsome work and stance.

That would probably make it stick out more!
The covers just take away from the mechanical look I think a motor should have, JMHO.
I know removal of some covers just exposes a nasty mess of wires, a mess only major wiring rerouting/lengthening could solve.

Nice ride. I like your engine choice. I would have gone a different route for induction, but to each there own. Should you decide to go for a little more traditional look and a lot more power, there is a 6-71 blower manifold available for the new hemis. Dont ask me who is making them trough. I have no clue.
