Randy was very calm. We were kinda blindsided by the over the top behavior.

WOW....... UMMM ....... you sure seem to have built a head of steam since the show. Isn't it amazing how many times you tell a story, you just keep streaching and streaching it farther from the truth. Absolutely awsome rod but....built in the 60's ....YEAH RIGHT.... the casting of the supercharger wasn't probably till after the 80's .....NOW THE FACTS .....new york cert of completion was ? in the late ninetys? 97-99 ? As far from the show aspects as possible-gl*** body-big block-blown-tubbed-narrowed, and you need a definition of "antique show and flea market"? What is antique about your rod? only the body style and front suspension. I am just as angry that i can't go to a good guys show with my completely redone pro touring camaro-was done 14 years ago before pro touring was popular. I feel your pain but understand - rules are rules:D
Remember you ain't fast till you can pick the fronts off of the track! up till then you are just a fast street car.

popcorn getting stale. I think the thread has kind of gone off topic a bit, The point wasn't that a particular car was or wasn't allowed into the show,it was that the guy was an ***hole. If I went to a show and the people in charge said sorry this particular car isn't proper for the show,a and they were being cool about it, That would be ok,but if they ran screaming after me yelling and being an ***hole, thats different. The guy in the golf cart could have handled it a lot better. I parked cars on weekends for a long time at an amu*****t park, trying to earn extra money, We has ***inine people like you wouldn't believe, but I made it a point to not lose my cool over the situation, if i did, it would have made it a long day. this guy who was being such as ***, If he had done the same and been cool, this thread probably would not exist. and it's probably time for it to be non existient

  11. Hoagies came from the Hog Island ship yard, in Philly. The Italian workers would bring a large roll stuffed with all kinds of meats, veggies, etc to eat during their 15 minute lunch breaks. They were originally called "Hoggies", which changed over time to "Hoagies"... anyway, here's hoping that my sharing of this otherwise uselessinfo will put this thread 6 feet under.

I'm sorry you didn't get in. I'm sorry that someone was rude to you. But heck, I mostly sorry that I spent the weekend licking my wounds from totalling my poor wagon ON THE WAY TO HERSHEY... and that I couldn't find a different way to get there from Georgia.

I can't wait until next October!

  12. I live in New York, I took the inspectors test.. what the hell is a "New York cert of completion" ??? Is that something you get for a kit car? No one I know knows what the hell that means.

WTF...I am a boy, I love cars, stock, modified, street rod, rat rod, if it has ****ing wheels...I like it, Bow Tie, Blue oval, Hudson, Packard , I just don't care, I help run the pumpkin run here in Cincinnati, we are a 1970 and older show, I understand how people want to bring in stuff that is not 1970, just have to tell them that's the rule, but we try not to be a big *** hole about it....Why do people feel like their **** is special and don't stink? I didn't write the rules, but they are there for a reason, sorry you ran into power trip guy, but the rules are the rules, I try EVRY YEAR to get them to bump our show up to 1974, but NO WAY.....

Gee I felt the same way when rejected at Primer Nats. for having billet wheels..However it is there rule and I respect their rules. L.A. Roadster Show you have to have paint no primer on your roadster, their rule and I respect it. They don't have to be nasty if you are not nasty however.

    Hey Mac,

Did I read back a bit in this thread, that you totaled your wagon:(. I hope you are ok. How bad was the damage?

  30. Let's just say that my poor little '94 ****** is gone, gone, gone...

It flipped end-over-end about 2 times after about a 30 foot "Dukes of Hazzard".

Oh, I also beheaded an innocent mailbox.

Spent 5 1/2 hours in the ER, a couple days under the affects of some really powerful muscle relaxers/pain relievers, and I'm feeling a good bit better.

    thanks for asking
