So this should be easy right???.....

wrong... little history, and how became up for sale...this car was owned by the lady I got it froms DAD,,

he did a complete bare frame up , nut bolt restoration on it.... he got cancer and passed on, and the car was willed to her and her husband...@ only 66 he got cancer and passed, that was 2021...so the car sat most of the time for the last 10 or 15 years.. car was in movies with the dad driving, as he didn't trust actors to learn to drive it... so a so-cal car all or most of it's life....

IMG_3094[8932].jpg so, like said... here's "WAS" the plan... buy this car. take the body off and put it on the other "T".... I can't do that to this car on it's 100 yr anniversary.... and I wouldn't gain anything taking a 100 yr survivor apart to make a T junker... then have a worthless chassis....

    So now the problems...

A guy got there before me to buy the "T"... I don't what he knew or didn't know about model T's... but he wanted to try and start it, and try to drive it.... T's are Turds, and that was the best thing Chevy ever did was put them out of business... Horrible town cars, but great creeping around the back 40 cars.... the frame and axel twisting rock crawling capability was amazing for it's time..

anyway, he started un hooking wires and such.... took the battery and cables out... unhooked the gen and starter,,,, so now I don't know if was running as a 6Volt possitive ground, or a 12 Volt neg ground...could be a 12volt battery, with a volt drop, and the guy couldn't figure out why there was only 6 volts at the dash???? anyway, I see that there's an electric fan... need to verify voltage, that and pull a bulb and see if it's 6 or 12 volt... then some how figure out if it poss or neg ground...

I believe this would be considered a lateral move. :D

Are you hinting that you will be looking for another T body which you'll be more willing to modify?

the ui lateral part was that I'd end up with a driveable 25 with a b motor , juice brakse, 34 front axel..

so yeah. back to square 2... square one is I should have left it alone...

every picture tells a story, it's ruffer than a sack of walnuts... I took the whole thing apart with no wrenches... looks like they were gonna take all the parts to a swap meet and just put enough bolts hand tight to make it look like a truck... no motor or trans... hogs head and oil pan...

I just found this thread and read through the whole thing, parts of it twice. I've come to the conclusion that you and I must be related. I, too, have had several of those, "I wonder what would happen if I were to-------" moments, and I still don't have a running, driving car after 7 years. Got a garage full of parts, no car. :(

what happen to me was, I went and looked at the hack, way to ruff for the price so I left...600 miles...should have stayed gone....bout a week later, talk'd to the guy again...and went back and got it
soon as I unloaded it off the trailer... buyers remorse set in.... what the F did I buy this for.....start poking around at it and all the wood was rotted... so I took it apart.... I don't know what it is.... but I can't loose a dime on hot rods.... I can go buy a new truck or RV, have it 6 mo. don't like it and trade it in on what I want...loose 20k like nothing and drive away smiling ... I loose more money in one day gambling then I paid for the hack .... and go back the next day... but something won't let me take a hit on an old car...

cut the seat box out... had to take the lump out of the back to get the bomber seat back as far as possible... IMG_3175[8952].jpg IMG_3176[8951].jpg IMG_3177[8950].jpg

been working on the sack of walnuts.... when I opened my paint and body shop, had about a 20 year collection of body work tools and spray guns.. through the years, and as I quit doing the work , and spent my time running the business and rounding up work... most all my tools grew legs an RUNNOFT,

when I closed the paint shop... every tool was gone... so went to harbor freight , bought a welder, and some body work tools...lol. could have just paid some one to do it....oh, yeah.... no one wants to work any more....

so anyway... back to the walnuts....doors are totaled.... dr door got hit more than the red head step kid

some one tried to fix it, it oil cans so they stuffed foam in it and left the lumps... the frame is toast.. bends ever where.... I could cut the inside of the door out... but there would be no way to straighten the top of the door thats all bent,... what I reallly need to do is find new doors... I think the 1927 is one year only... 1927 was when they either had to scrap the model t, or go out of business ...., everyone wanted chevy's so they did the slider trans model A

I could take the skins off... and fix the door frames, and straighten the skins..... boy, thats gonna take a bunch of time....sooo, anyone have some good 1927 T roadster doors???

Looks like you are trying to ruin all the remaining Model T's in existence. Maybe you should get a Model T parts catalog from Mac's just to figure out what fits what and come up with a plan.

My point is, at this point you have acquired several Model T's, scrapped a good TT cab where you could have just found a cowl, and have finally discovered that 26 and 27 are the same. You would save a lot of time and money with a little bit of research and a game plan.

any way,... here's where i'm at...... all the casr will be cars when i'm done.... as for the 27 rpu , when I bought it, all I wanted was the body... people wantt 4k for a rusted beat down pile off pieces , and some bed sides that were run over by a tractor... so when I seen the 27 with a nice bed for less I pulled the trigger... it had no wiring, seats were just the old springs . no steering or brakes, but it looked like a truck and it had most all the pieces I need so I pulled the trigger'''

I building a 27 dirt track rum runner,.. my house in Kanab utah has miles and miles of dirt roads with old movie sets , fun to just put put around... I won't be using the bed, it's way way too nice to cut up... so there's a good on me...but will be building some type of barrel hauler bed in the back... it will also double as a Kanab parade car
