I just bought a 1956 chevy 210 and had a similar issue. My VIN number was wrong, someone mistaken a S for a 5. They said I had to go back to the orginal state that issued the ***le for the correction. I ****ed my head and said well... I guess that is a 5. I know this isn't the correct method but once I recieve the IL ***le then I will make the change. Crazyness... -WD I want to buy a NOMAD
It is far less of a h***le if the car is to remain stock. Light modification is ok, but any adjustment to the security of the car's structure gets a big red flag. One ***le for a 1950 ford F1 I had read just 1950 Truck. I was able claim ignorant on a lot of things
I didn't hear anything through out the process. One day I went to my mail box and found the envelope from the Secretary of State and nervously opened it expecting to find some horrible news. Inside was the ***le to my coupe. 2 Months to the day. Have faith. Gene
Keep us posted, it may take a little longer right now. They layed off a bunch of people in the last couple of weeks.
I GOT MY ***LE!!!!! After a one week vaca with the wife to Tenn. we came back late Saturday night. A major storm hit Sunday morning. 90 mph winds. Trees down everywhere. House and cars damages, nothing that was HAMB friendly thank God and no one hurt. I went to the mailbox on Tuesday and there is was. Exactly one month. To vin check by the state. No questions asked. Still waiting for the tax bill though. Kinda funny, it showed up on my wife and my 24th anniversary. The vacation was great, but getting the ***le was the best anniversary present I could have gotten. Now that it's mine, I can start the work. Yay me!!!!! Thanks for all of the support HAMB!
