sorry bout postin before i introduced myself...my names Ben, im 20 years old, have an intense passion for anything with a engine. i have a new car to you guys standards but its a hotrod no doubt. for the last 9 months ive been building a 72 dodge charger rallye. The car has been completed built from the ground up, like any car should be. I could go on about the charger, but i think the intro is supposed to be about me. My other interests are kustom kulture, art, tattooing, school, etc..etc..Im a automotive technology major in houston texas...thats all i got for now, hopefully that was a good intro and i wont get to much*****...
welcome Ben,personally i like chargers but wouldnt want to eat a whole one.Eventually if you stay on this board you will see the light sell the charger and head for sommit 1930's with a big engine.Other than that all i can say is kick around a bit and learn something from these old gits, they are******* marvelous and have a lot of knowledge even though they are mostly farting dust............Marq
I'm curious, what is the curriuculum for automotive technology? ie. aerodynamics, driveline, engine. At 50 it's a little late for me, but I leaned that way 30 years ago when such things were not available. So now I'm a civil with an expensive hobby.
some of the classes we take are: engine performance engine repair brakes systems suspension and steering automatic transmissions mannual transmissions air conditioning engine performance 2 automobile electricity etc...etc...
Welcome to another Texan, Ben. But we gotta be quiet because the fellas from CA, PA, and Michigan haven't realized yet that we're taking over the board. I love the Chargers. I used to have a '69 with a 383 mag. I have built and worked on many different things but in my opinion if you wanna haul**** in a big way, right outta the box, the big block Mopar is the way to go. But the other guys are probably right, you'll eventually get older and older cars until you finally end up riding a horse. LOL Over the years I've gone from the late '60s to the early '60s and am now wandering through the '50s. Who knows where we'll all end up. I guess I should go saddle shopping. LOL Regards, Big Daddy Eric

Welcome Texan! Glad to see another Mopar guy on the board. If you dig Mopars you need to visit: http://www.moparstyle.net/forums/ Tell'em Radman sent ya!
I think Charger are pretty cool. I like the 71 R/T and would like to add one to my collection of 50's sleds and rod's someday. Welcome aboard
yea when i saw the deal for the project i had to grab it. i got the charger body, and 12,000 bucks worth of brand new parts that this old man was gonna build the car with, but he threw out his back and couldnt do it...got the car and parts for 3000 bucks. Now its a slammed, shaved, built charger thats almost ready to tear up the streets of houston....but i will sell it and pick up something from the 40's for sure within the next year....but chargers are beautiful cars, the lines are so rad...
