My little cousin asked me if there are any links on how to build your own lowrider/chopper bicycle west coast style. I think my chopper has really rubbed off on him and he wants to learn how to build stuff.

I was wondering if any of you california guys knew any links that can help him learn? (he lives far away from me which sucks)

    thanks

my daughter asked for a "lowrider" or OCC bike for christmas,,of course i got her the lowrider bike, haha

wal-mart sells a "Bratz" bike that is pure lowrider bike except for the silly stickers for 120.00 bux. wouldnt take much to make it bitchin.

i've seen those at the Wal-Mart here. those are pretty cool minus the star stickers on them. my 20 year old sister wants one, haha. i agree, you won't have to put in a lot of work to make it a nice bike.

There was a add the classifieds with a HAMBER in Denton,Tx. that does it for $75 bucks. He said you can pick up a Schwinn cruiser at Walmart for $85 bucks and he would sretch it for $75 bucks if you send him the frame.
    Maybe he would help.
Does anyone remember his name? The Classified was in Feb. I believe. Sorry I am not much help.

i'd take $135 for my aztlan. it's about a million times cooler than those bratz bikes and it has matching rectnular mirrors with green reflectors in them. i can't remember for sure but i think i gave right at 220 with shipping for this bike and rode it twice and got a new cruiser that i ride alot so the lowrider just sits in the way gathering dust...ken....

thats the one i have. it's a brighter green than the pic shows. kind of a grass green not the teal it looks. mine has metalflake vinyl seat and rectanle mirrors but that is the general pic. sorry no digital right now or i'd just shoot a pic since it's about 2 feet from me...ken....

I used to build them for fun when I was a kid. I've been thinking of doing one again. I still have a few bikes and parts.

You might be able to find some back issues of Lowrider Bicycle magazine. I haven't seen a new issue in years but I remember some cool tech stuff, like how to rake the neck, and do different style tanks. Maybe there are links somewhere to those articles off the main Lowrider website.
