here's the scoop. it's a 50 with a 49 dash. chopped 4 in. it's gonna have 54 buick headlights, 53 buick side trim, 49 kaiser vagabon taillights, and real spotlights that actually work.it has a 69 nova clip, power steering and power disc brakes. and a damn 305 thats gotta go. and 350 turbo. i gonna put in a 350 and 700r4. i've had it for three years and i think it'll be on the road in the spring in primer. i know it's not setting any new styling trends but it what i want.
Stoked on the ride dude..... can't wait to see the progression. 4 thumbs up from the p-nut gallery over here in Langley! Anything with Buick on it gets the grin!
great lookin' steel, i never get tired of looking at mercs... nice white walls too. lol please keep us updated
i should be getting alot of work done over the next few months and i will post updates as things progress
Looks great, especially the top lines...and nice lines on the rockers/front fender fit area (See my "what did you get done this weekend post). I'm envious...
cool car, btw 53 headlight rims are better then 54 as i belive 53 was stainless and 54 aint, but if you already got a pair 54 well, anyhow...
First time I've seen '49 Kaiser tailights in a merc... I thought they'd always flow with the car well if they were used. And they look good... nice project you've got. That chop looks pretty clean...
yea it took me two years to figure out what kind of taillights i wanted and i found those by accident. i think they'll be allright when they're finnished. allthough kustoms have allways been my favorite cars this is my first attempt at any kustom body work and i'm lovin everyminute of it.or any body work at all for that matter. thanks for kind words guys it's encourageing
Sorry I kan't remember what 1949 kaiser vagabon taillights look like. Any pictures? Happy Trails, Mick
