Man. That's sweet! I'd keep the paint too.. That's a gorgeous shade of green that hasn't faded off too much.

Oh. And I wish I had more cool crap laying around like you. It's not everyday you can bring an old car home and slap on a nice set of chrome wheels with whitewalls.

    I envy you.

Those dents were common - the thing that holds the door from opening all the way would break allowing the door to hit the back of the fender, used to see it all the time when those Chevy's were around.

  6. Chad nice score!!! I just scored a 51 hardtop all hopked up for a good deal aswell. Cant wait to see the progress.

  7. The pictures do not do this car justice, it looks absolutely gorgeous in person.

  9. You don't want to do this. At the least, you could fry your gas gauge and coil....more depending on what's turned on.

Great looking coupe....I drove mine slammed and unchopped for years, loved it...

  10. Although he's street rodding it, my buddy is just finishing one up right now - they are a really cool body shape and just look bitchin' lowered with those WW's just like you have. Get her running and drive the hell out of it!

Would you believe me if I told you $150? :D

Not yet PD.... gotta pull the starter it's stuck... I hope it's just some dirt dobbers! It won't engage, it just clicks like it's a dead battery.

Nice Find. My buddy stuffed one just like it through someones front porch when we were kids. Leaving a party at 01:00 of course. His Father brought it back from California, that car was mint. Good Luck with your '51 coupe.

Not to throw a monkey wrench into your plans but I've always wanted to find one of those and swap the straight six for a late model V6/5spd. With dual glasspacks it would sound like the old days, get terrific gas mileage and use all modern parts that are readily available. You'd need to do a modern rear swap but an S-10 rear would be a piece of cake.

I am watching "storage wars" and admiring Brandi and it reminded me of Chaddilac, the famous Hamb storage unit buyer.

Thanks BD... I'm trying to figure out my starter issues... it clicks with the push button but that's all, When out and hooked to a charger it kicks off and works good. Not sure.... After I figure out if it's gonna run or not, then I'll redo the brakes and lower it. If the engine won't run, then I'm going to park it in the barn and get back on the T coupe for LSR '12!! :D

Yea I tried that Dan, I couldn't get it to engage and spin at the same time... Bobwop suggested new cables, I'm gonna try that next!
