When I blew a head gasket in my banger, it sounded like a little man inside with a big hammer. I pulled the head off to remove the hammer from the Lil fella only to find a blown gasket.... it was between #1 +2. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
i was also thinking condensation.. but there is antifreeze blowing out from the sparkplugs aswell(bad sparkplugg gaskets) but the engine is also blowing water from the radiator.. i will find out next week tho! hehe
well, the gasket looked okey, but no harm in changing it also got some bolts for the windsheild and a new cam!
HaHa OK Kjell owne up to it , you didn't have a head gasket problem, you wanted a excuse to put a bigger cam in it
hehe well, the cam is still not in the block tho.. and the motor is back togheter.. so not yet but i would get me an extra block before i tear the one in the car apart hehe
Got my Magneto the other day and mounted it on the A! Then started cleaning the firewall! Turned out great it you ask me!
Its lookin great! How'd you go worth timing mag? I don't know much about the one you have, does it advance? Or is it fixed? What type? Los of questions Sent via carrier pidgeon & smoke signals with the HAMB App
it should be automatic/fixed to serten RPM's dont remember the specs now, but its 13degree at 1945rpm or somthing like that 5degree at 850rpm its a vertex magneto, similar to the Joe Hunt magnetos i did have it running for like 10 secunds here a few days ago, but i think i have some big carb problems...
Its back running and driving now! i dont think the naigbours are quite as happy that i am about that tho...
Well, the starter died for me a good week or so ago and my car sadly just sat there.. but i did change the valvecover! Well, now i finaly got me a used starter that worked bether than my old one! i also got some new manifoild gaskets it now purrs like a kitty again! ready for a roadtrip and a race in 2 weeks!
