Well I finally stopped working i he garage long enoughto post a few pics. I got the ladder bar crossmember all measured out where it needed to go and went from there.

It ended up needing to be right where a lightning hole was in the boxing plates so I had to fill one on each side.

I made some pltes to box the x member on the inside where the tube goes through, and finished the radiuses on the ends with some 1/2 inch strips welded in and ground.

I dressed up the brackets a little by softening the edges.

I then set up the housing and centered it and set the pinion angle and tacked everything in place.

today I finished welding all the brackets on the housing and added gussetts with a few lighting holes.

I finished welding the underside of the x member and decided to notch the front rails for spring clearance last night.

I found some more pics of some sheetmetal repair I did on the lower door posts(b pillar) they were rusted out. Also the doors had some rust through on the bottom corners and the inner frame work that neede repairing.

The drivers door top was wrapped around the hinge at one time and the top of the door was pretty messed up . I got to looking at an extra p***enger door I had cut up for the lower patches and realized the doors are mirror images side to side . All I needed to do was cut it off and fill the hinge slot and cut it in the other side.Henry was a pretty smart guy having parts that would work side to side with little changes 9at least on the 28/9

had to patch the lower cowl a little too

No not yet. I still don't have power in the barn. The barn is my top priority while I'm laid off.

I have some of the sheetmetal for the truck and will probably order the rest soon. I can work on it til I figure out the car stuff.

I may have found a roof for the car. I'm keepin my fingers crossed the guy doesn't want a fortune for it. I can also start to setup the ch***is on the car before body work.

It's kinda cool to have 2 projects so I can go back and forth as I have parts. I just wish I had twice the space.
