Nice stuff. Now you'll end up like the rest of us still doing it (and 1/1 scale of course) when you're middle-aged......:D

Wow! When I was 12 my models didn't look as great as yours. Every one of mine had the trademark "gluey finger prints" on the windshields.

Cool man! My models didn't look that good until I was 20... Check out my profile, I've got some pics of stuff I've built. Keep building and make sure to join the HAMB plastic model builders group.

Nice models! Those are better models than I built when I was a kid and I built a lot of models and was pretty good at it. Good work, keep it up. Let's see more when you get them built.

  15. WOW nice work kid!!! The white 53 chevy is alot like the russ meeks chevy built in Milwaukie oregon.....Ive still got a bunch of my models and parts I built when I was your age, they are in a 1910 candy store case.......just think in a couple of years it will be steel ...but never quit doing the plastic.............

Nice work! All my models were blown up, burned and destroyed by about the time I was 13. None of them looked as good as yours before they met their demise. Don't be an idiot like I was and keep them till you enter the next life.

Building models is how 99% of us old guys developed our love for these old cars. Keep up the good work and never let loose of them!

  19. Great work-I never could get my fingers to work good enough to to what you are doing when I was a kid and now that I'm older they sure won't do it.
    Keep up the good work.
    Later,

buy the way...the red and black 41 chev, i cut it up with scissors to get it like that! i have a exacto knife but i have more control w/scissors

  25. You need to get a razor saw!! Failing that try a fine hack saw blade, one thing you can never go wrong with is buying modeling tools. A good setup will radically change the quality of your builds.
I would also recommend joining some web sites like
    Scale Motorcars (http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum/index.php) and
    Scale Auto (http://www.scaleautomag.com/sca/default.aspx)
Spend some time reading the "how To" pages, look through others build threads. You have a great start mate, with some refining to your building technique you could be a great model builder!
Just bear in mind that they are somewhat more genteel sites than here!
    Doc.

Who got you into this model building thing? You got some neat models. Making a clone of the G****vine is a great idea! I still got all my old models that I've had since your age. :D

    Great work!!! Keep it up.

One thing you might check with your camera, see if it has a Macro setting. This allows you to get close to your models and keep them in focus. Most auto focus cameras in normal mode will not focus correctly on things closer then 3 feet. The macro allows down to within inches. I think that would help show off your talent even more, with sharp, clear pictures.

Keep it up. I need to get off my **** and start working on the couple dozen I have... :)

Nice work. Now take those ideas and start looking for some real metal. Build yourself a lead sled go cart.
    I started the same way.
