The stock timing indicator wouldn't work with that balancer.

Got alot done. Just need to bolt up exhaust pipes, a carb fitting, connect heater hoses, prime the oil pump, fluids, connect the battery and I am ready to fire.

Anyone know what fitting a Holley 600 takes for a hard fuel line?

Put my heater together and drilled the new holes. I hope the new motor for it comes today so I can put it in and bolt it to the car. Otherwise, I am going to have to just try to put it in bolted to the firewall.

I HOPE we are going to fire the motor tomorrow or Wed, throw the front end back on it thursday and friday night and do a couple hundred mile shakedown run on Saturday... and leave for TEXAS on wednesday.

Takes a little firewall setback to stick one in an A and you have to figure out what to do about the alternator sticking way out over your frame rail if you're useing a hood side, but otherwise they slip right in there. Oh, you'll need a shorter than stock fan to clear the lower radiator outlet also. This one will get yanked out, cleaned up and painted soon as the weather warms up. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks. We ordered one and I'll throw it on tomorrow.

I didn't have time to get my new dash finished, but I did manage to get the new column, and wheel in. A DEFINITE improvement over the previous set up.

I have the door panels and kick panels out of the Boyd Bud Light car that I bought, but I don't think I am going to have time to mess with them. They will look better with the new dash anyway.

Wait until you see the air cleaner on it. You'll flip. I don't dare put it on until the car runs. I might piss myself.

Last night's installment saw the arrival of my new heater motor from Danchuk. I pick up the box and it weighs as much as the whole heater. That can't be good. So I open it up and it looks exactly like the motor I need only supersized. ****.

So I decided to put the fan out of my other heater in cause it would be better than nothing. I took it apart and hooked it up to some power to see how well it blows. Damn, it blows pretty good when it's not in a tiny box with no air flow. I almost think it was backwards too before. So I put it in and it works great!

I wish the chrome was better. I think i will keep an eye out for the same Arvin heater with better chrome.

Also wired up my new dome light. My wife will appreciate that.

Got the bolts tightened on the p***enger fender. Just have to tighten the grill.

Tonight we will be making offerings to the Gods of Speed.

It's about 3 hrs driving time from Dallas to South Congress... depending on traffic. It can get kinda ugly heading out of the Dallas area if you come thru too late.

    Be safe and good luck!
