    Man, what I would have given for an uncle like you Tim! Maybe we should start a thread on disasterous first cars!! Mine would qualify!! I've been able to pretty much keep my kid (20 years), away from this rice consuming junk!!

    i know this is a old thread but im wanting to know if he still has it and if so what all has he done to it..i too wish i had a uncle like you...lol if so id started with my cars alot sooner.and stayed out of trouble. well maybe not.
     
  5. He is still working on it a little at a time, he has the body off the frame and several "sub-***emblies" done and ready for install. he's doing great work and has not lost his drive. When I got my '30 Tudor last year I told him he could have whatever he needed of the donor car as long as I didn't need it for my build. He got a few things. ;)

    I had a good time meeting your dad when he was over here, he's always welcome and you are too!.

    Wow! Did this bring back memories! My first official car was a 1929 Model A roadster that had sat in a field from 1941-1991. My dad and I rebuilt the engine (bearings by Ken Petrick of Tucson) and I have a VHS tape of the first day it was running and of me driving it back in forth in the side yard near our house. I learned more in that 100' space about letting a clutch out!
