Well, after trying to sell my '35 5W in a shitty market and having multiple deals fall through that disabled me from getting what I'd planned(and getting numerous ridiculous offers), I traded it for a 1931 Ford Coupe. The car has a '46 flathead with Weiand heads and a matching intake with 3 97's. The transmission is a '39 toploader and the rear is stock. It has '40 Ford brakes all around, and a dropped front axle. The interior is done(in the photo, the door panel looks blue...but that's just the lighting from the flash) and it has all the glass, both comforts that I haven't experienced in a while! It even came with a matching removable center coffee holder and floor mats that are carpet on one side, tuck-n-roll on the other(show-n-go)! I already did some minimal changes to de-cheese it a little...new cloth spark plug wires(the old ones were purple!) and brass fittings, and '40 Ford wheels and blackwalls to replace the 15" chrome wheels and whitewalls. I also removed the front bumper. I had plans to ditch the front fenders and runningboards, bob the rear fenders, and chop it. Maybe this winter, I kinda like it...and so does my dog, Angus. Let me know what you think.
I think its sweet.Id add some color to the wheels and If thats a two tone interior times 2 Id change it to the seat color ,I like it alot Door panels look blue in pics,It might be the flash ....
Stance/wheels with the fenders is perfect. That color is cool too. A little hair cut wouldn't hurt though!
i like the fenders and stock roof hight, 2 things i normaly dislike. but it looks good. i would leave it as is.
The interior is just brown and cream. You're right, that lighting makes it look like I have blue door panels! It's all the same as the seat...
Now, That is one clean Hot Rod "A" ! I agree the interior should be matched up better. (dye job anyone ?) Other than that I think the car is very nice. How does it drive ? Have fun with it.
when it comes to the model A's i like them with out the fenders but i must say i would not change anything keep it this way
That thing is beautiful! why would you ever consider cutting it up and pulling the fenders? It's getting to be that the stock height top and full fenders are the different these days, and it looks so good. Hell, I've been collecting stuff to build just that car for years now. It's your car, so do what you want, but I'd say just enjoy it!
Interior matched up better? You mean the door panels to the seat? They are the same, the lighting got weird on the panels...makes 'em look blue...
Hmmm, maybe a poll is in order...to chop or not to chop, to pull fenders or not to pull fenders. I like it both ways, I'll probably just leave it alone for a while...or forever.
One of the best looking full fendered model A coupes I've seen in a long time. Maybe it's the wheels and tires....maybe it's the color...Not sure but I think it is perfect. Don't change a thing. Just my opinion.
every dip shits got a chopped and fenderless model A coupe...why screw up a bitchen car that needs NOTHING. I've seen it with the whitewalls and it looks good. And for all the dip shits with chopped and fenderless coupes I've had 5 of em so zip it!! FLiP
Drive it like it is for 10 years, and if at the end of 10 years if you don't like it the way it is, then chop it and pull the fenders.
I definetly would not chop it. you could always take the fenders off after and see how it looks and put them back on if it doesnt look the best.
