Sweeeeet!!! I love how finding an old Ford puts a big smile on your faces!!!
Model 40 3 windows are the best! (and that's coming from a Deuce guy!)
    I'm fortunate to own a '34 3W too.

I wish these old cars could talk and tell us where they've been. I think of them as "time machines". If we could only figure out how to make them take us back to the 30's, 40's and 50's for a ride.

No big news to report. I'm in the parts collecting phase still. I've picked out a dash from my dash stash. I'm kind of a nut about dashes with glove boxes.

I also saw these neat old photos on the Ford Barn from AngleDrive who lives in Florida.

    A roadster with a 32 shell!

Good to be at the bottom !! ( ... if you're a dash anyway ) Nice ! Can't see the roadster pics' though ... is there a secret handshake or ala' kazam' rabbit hole to find ? :)

    EDIT : Dude ... that's an awesome roadster !

You know what's funny ? The era with the frame Z's and removing leaves/or T springs etc ... the Model 40 front had a tendency to get wiped out ... because it hung lower. I know west coast guys had brains just like the east coast guys had style. East coast/west coast whatever ... some guy somewhere ... gets tired of wiping out his grille with his low bad*** 33/34 .... right ? Are we alone here or what ? o_O:)

Here's one from SafariKnut - Olds powered.
    donhilleroldspowered34-jpg.2946494.jpg donhilleroldspowered34-jpg.2946494crop.jpg

...and another freshly stolen from Garage Journal ... it's an oldie ... the guy has a tool stencil walled up ... so he can remember his monkey wrench placements.

    ... inspirational purposes.

I still think this is one of the coolest pics I have seen. A great snapshot of the car and owner at a point in time. Cool

Hey @Elrod ..... pursuit of other interests found me this. Microfiche' stash of the 1949 San Bernadino streets address directory for your car's wooden header address ...... one H M Jones. Maybe the kid's dad ? Mom ? Grandpa ? Wish it was 1959 but that's all I got. Who knows ..... but it's worth a bump !! Got the neighbors on blast too. Have fun.

Social media help this kind of thing ..... now that there could be a name ??

Been busy with Trog, my other coupe, driving our 1931 cabriolet through Yellowstone, and collecting parts for this project. I realized that I haven't posted pictures in a while.

I lucked out a while back by finding a guy who had pulled an Early Ford V8 club concourse winning 1934 cabriolet body off of this frame and put the original body on a cornhusker frame and generated a street rod ***le for it.

So, I picked this fully restored ch***is from him with ***le for a song. It also already had a Volvo overdrive spliced into the torque tube. I have one in my 1931 cabriolet and love it, so was super happy to see this.

It was advertised as running, but when I got to the mans house, I tried turning it over and it was stuck. He said he had blown a head gasket a few years ago, he drained the oil, put new oil in it and squirted some WD-40 down in the cylinder.
I got it home, pulled the head and yup. found some crud in there. cleaned that up, and finally got the engine to turn over. I plan to pull that cylinder and change the rings just to be safe. I'll then put that engine aside and put in the big boy.

The dash I'm using has these metal glove boxes moulded to the back of the dash and they are deep. Too deep for the 34 firewall, so had to section them.
