This is definetly some kick-ass stuff. Thanx for posting! Please forgive me if this has been answered already as I have merely looked thru the pics, but... I hope that the plan is to continue with strictly vintage construction and equipment?
Thanks guys, yea im on it now! This updating thing is gettin fun, cool to go back and see all the progress ie. blood, sweat and tears!!!
My 32 Heavy Axle courtesy of 3W Larry. This axle was deep in Larry's stash dropped by Okie Joe back in the day
My 37 front Wishbones courtesy of 117harv! A lot of love goes into this finished product. I cant say enuogh about Harv, pleasure to work with, and always comes through on time. No doubt he is surgical with a TIG in his hand!
Ya know what I would do if it was mine????? I would take it and clean it up really good, and then I would pull it in the garage and wipe it down with a rag so the tape would stick to it good so I could see just where to chop that SOB at!! And cut the shit out of it! Jim
Love the HAMB can't stand the internet police. The rules for Hot Rods are there are no rules its your car your money do what you want. You got balls to chop it that much good for you!
LOVE this car. I'd love to have a '33-34 coupe some day. The chop is just my style.....one question? How tall are you? I've sat in a '33 with a 4 inch chop and was fine, but was curious about room in this one.
D Rod Whats the name of the shop and where are they at in Jersey. I'm looking to have my 34 chopped..Dan
This is what "real" hot rodding is all about. Every now and then a "non-conformist" shows there is an alternative to the standard norm. Obviously the crowd drawing near is evident of your talent and quest for something special. Although you are impressing a large following, it is clear you are only trying to appease your own idea of what makes you say "yeah, right about there should do it!". Kudos for the excellent work and to Rolling Bones for the invitation. As I stated earlier...this is what "real" hot rodding is all about. Thanks for proving its still "real" out there and for finishing what you started. I can't wait to see this car on the road!
Looked over this idea and did it years ago for our 64d roadster, Didn't cut the floor or even have to notch the tank, Used a Cyclone in that one though. Been watching this build, It's inspiring to say the least. In the insert weld in shot, there are 4 cars in that shop, all very cool! That Model 40 rdstr is sweeeeet! New Real Steel body or gennie? It appears to look like a SAR/RS unit in the dash area. The milk truck wheels are sweet, are they new as well? The stance, I was noticing chalk lines on the 1/4, is there some slicing/dicing in the future for those wells? I've had and still have several 3 windows, been saving one for retirement. Won't be there for another 20 I think, so I may rethink that and start it much sooner!
You really should take up the Bones Boys invite to join up with them for the trip to the salt this year. This KILLER rod you have been building would feel right at home there. Plus I would get to see it in person. Very cool hot rod & great workmanship.
Hey Kevin Thanks, That roadster is a Steve's body I believe, good eye! Im not sure who owns it now, its since been traded. If you ever want to release a 3 window PLEASE let me know!!!
Man O' Man that thing is just plain nasty. Love the wishbones and the drilled big beam and the wicked chop and the .....ok, I'll shut up now.
