Projects My new '89 Camry

  1. , That '55 grille & walk-in cowl was used for several years by Ford,,supplied to body builders. P.S.,,,it needs a Y block,,,

  4. It looks that way. I've found truck brochures now through '59 that show that same grille & cowl, so Ford once again as usual didn't scrap parts just because they were from a previous model year.

    J would indicate that the engine was originally a 279 Lincoln-type Y block, in '51-'55, or the 302 Lincoln Y in '56...I don't have the '58 engine codes.

    ford used same body until 60'. must have finally ran out of 55' grilles.
