    So,

I've been working on this for about 1 1/2 yrs and as of Friday, it is street legal and on the road. I just thought that I would share a few pics and tell all of you HAMBers thanks for all of the great info. I purchased alot of the parts through the classifieds and the Alliance saved me quite a bit of cash!

    Thanks,
    Mitch

    Hello,

No, it's nowhere near done. Eventually as time and funds allow, it will get finished. The axle is a Chassis Engineering that I got from Riley and drilled in my garage with my little drill press (took quite a while and made a hell of a mess). As for more info. it is a deuce frame that I made from rails, boxing plates and a model A front cross member that I also purchased from Vaphead. I made the rear cross-member and center k-member. The engine is a 59 AB that I got on the classifieds. It is pretty much stock with the exception of an Edelbrock Super Dual with a pair of old 97's. The tranny is a '40 truck case with the internals out of a 41 side-loader. And, the rear-end is a '41 banjo with a shortened torque tube. The body is an old roadster from Portland Craigslist with a 39 standard dash and doors that I made. It's not a professional build as I don't have any formal automotive training. But, I have learned alot and really enjoyed the build. It drives surprisingly well and I'm looking forward to fixing alot of loose ends.

    Thanks,
    Mitch

Looks great, and believe me they are never done. Mine has a 276 8BA, and a 4 speed, with a 9" early bronco diff. Unboxed A frame-mistake-, and byass ply tires make for a early top end. But there is nothing like a two lane road with a flathead at full song. I live in upstate New York and drove mine every month of the year the 1st year. PM me if you ever need anything, Chuck.

Whoa!!! That thing is one great looking hot rod. It tugs at my heart with those wire wheels and stock heads on that 24 stud! Copper water pipes? Can't tell with the sin glare.

Just thought that I would add a few new pics. My girls and I took it for a picnic/swimming the other day. We put on around 80 miles that day. It was over 100 degrees outside and the old thing stayed under 180 the entire time. I'm lovin this thing!
