3"-4" chop proportion-wise would look sweet, 6" probably too much.

3-4 would not have done it for me. I did a 4-6 with another inch or so out of the crown.

I guess you don´t have the Caddy grille? How about a 49-50 Merc grill shell and a floating single bar? The front of the hood could be pancaked down a bit also. My 2cents.

Im glad you kept the drip rail.....they look terrible when you shave them.
    Keep the pics coming.

You cant put a powerglide in it....that thing needs to run 80 down the freeway. I ran a 200R4 in mine....its the same as a 700 just a little shorter. Either way you need an overdrive.

 Welcome to the Caddy world, that's a great body style and will make a great cruiser. Caddy's look good chopped or stock height either way will be cool. Both trannies are good ones, go for the 700R4 for gas savings on long trips. Go with the SBC Chevy it's a great engine..............................Look around and get the stock Caddy grille for it they're great looking. Wow, the chop looks fantastic great work. What color are you thinking about, please say your painting it.

    CRUISER

I have the stock grill and I like it, it might need a little help but I have a few ideas. I also know it is the first egg crate grill on a cadi, which makes it cool. The opinions I was looking for are stuff like nose it yes or no? shave the side vent yes or no? I was thinking of sinking the vent in flush with the hood. Ideas on the front bumper? here is a better front picture. I hate the pic so I will try to take some more pics soon.
