    Dont change a thing!
Being the longer version gives it more shop van character than the cuteness of the short ones....................I Like it!

Econolines were Falcons! Loose the caps and throw some Cragers and Red Lines on it.

What backspace would 8" wide wheels use on the rear of an Econoline?

Uh just don;t put a lot of real heavy parts in behind the rear axle. Back in high school I worked for the local Dodge dealer. About once a month they made a trip to a place that took old oil and filters. Well the service manager grabed a white econoline just like that and opend the back doors and commenced loading about 6 50 gallon drums of used oil filter and 3 drums of collected oil in the back of the van, then filled up the side door stuff with things for the dump. (these were back in the pre landfill days....)

The parts guy jumped in pulled out of the driveway, and proptly pulled the front wheels. The loaded shifted further to the rear standing the van on its back bumper.

This in front of the dealership, blocking US RT 11 north, this being beffore rt I81 was built. We took turns laughing our butts off and directing traffic till they jacked the rear end up and redistributed the load. Ad sent the fellow back on his route, When he got back he was still shaking from what he mentions was a decided lack of direction and braking on his way to the oil place.
