Store bought pan from one of the best in the Biz, Yeah and it is a Hemi

It is a pluged deck now because I'm not running water and the block is filled,

Next we are cutting O-ring recieving grooves in the block before the head studs are installed

Stainless wire in the heads,Copper head Gaskets already made.

Yes it was a solid chunk.

The Goatroper part,Well.....for years I raced dirt latemodel cars......

When I first got a computor (long ago) I had just switched to GRT brand of ch***is,

Their nick name was "Goat"....for short , instead of saying the letters out

I needed a handle for the net....My car number has always been 02, 25+ years of racing

    Hence... Goatroper02

Couple other boards I use my shop name, but everybody knows me on here as Goatroper02 so I hate to change it,

So in the end it has nothing to do with a Poncho...sorry:D

But you will notice I always sign my name at the end of a post,
Im a firm beliver to never hide behind a screen name if your saying something...polite or not

The workmanship here is outstanding...the wedge Olds could run with the Chryslers (Porter & Ries, Safford, Gaide & Ratican, etc), but the block webbing was not strong enough to keep the crank in the motor...(I remember when Safford & Co reluctantly went to the Chrysler)..If the Olds guys had your girdle back in the '60s they might still be racing....

Wish I had it on for the night p***es for my 7.70's but didnt think it would work in low light
Now I think itll work fine

very stable. if you shut your eyes you can just hear the hemi talking to the olds. the hemi blew a gasket when the olds told the hemi he was his father... joking aside nice run, and she sounds good.

    Howdy Tony:
Thanks for the photos and videos. Nice work. That GoPro works well.
So a question for you if you dont mind.
You had a Barnes pump on it if I remember? There big in the circle world it seems.
Anyway how is the oil pressure on Braking or at end of run.
Is there a modified pick up at stock location ish? or Through Pan??
Did you modify it or do they have an optional through drive as you had the fuel pump on it??
Was the Hemi pan for a Dry Sump?
Looking at my set up now and really like the external oil pump set up.
My friend has an external Peterson, its the schiz. Wet sump Fed.
Although one nite late thrashing. We did not tighten the needle on the regulator. It was giving pressure issues. Ended up with a quart of Brad Penn in the hair.....:p:rolleyes::D
    see ya and thank you

    Hi Luke
Yes the oil pump is cam driven with provision to drive the fuel pump off the back
You could do the same thing with a single stage belt drive if you wanted to
No change in oil preasure as the pan is doored, not only so the oil cant run forward, but also it has doors under the tray that close if the oil tries to run up the back wall of the pan

same preasure section as a drysump but oil is in the pan instead of a seperate tank

Pickup is in the rear side along the back wall with hose to the in side of pump then out to the Oberg and then back to main oil galley
