Pinstripergirl, I would listen to 40 Studedude about the wiring, what you have now is 57 years old and a rewire kit is not hard to install, all the wire is imprinted with what it is and where it goes, it's not brain surgery to install. I know you'll be better off down the road to change it now............

 

i love the car. a beautifull project to. Always had a weakness for Original fixer uppers.
brand new ones dont have p***ion and character. keep up the good work your doing great
