I am certainly no expert on the 4 bangers. But i have heard of them being in trucks as late as 1940. Some sort of special order type deal for fuel economy I guess. Pretty rare, but I understand they had insert bearings and a few other upgrades. If I remember right, "Chris" here on the HAMB had one a while back.

I knew they had them as an economy engine as late as '34. But I didn't know they offered them in anything up to 1940. That's cool information.

 

Watching the transformation from stocker to hot rod is pretty cool. Even cooler that you're driving the piss out of it while working on it. Looking forward to more updates.

 

I've seen this car in person many times and the pictures don't do it justice. It is one clean, pretty little coupe!
