Have just a small post tonight l Last week I posted progress on stripping the hood and the progress on the custom scoops . Well aside from just a little more sanding and a few tweaks I should be good to go ! Once the primer is on them they will really be evident . I will be filling the gun sight mounting holes as I wont be using it . Andy.

This is where I stand at this moment ! Now that spring has finally appeared the progress on the car will slow dramatically. The shop will be full of jobs for a bit . Hopefully I can squeeze a few $$$ for the Buick and not all bills. Andy..

  4. Looking good Andy! Looking real good! It's amazing how priming a car so dramatically transforms the vision of the builder into reality, if you know what I mean.

Thanks man . Yeah I do know what you mean . That's why I put it to primer before I tucked it away for the time being . Changes the whole perspective for sure . Hows the truck coming along ? I will have to check it out . Later , Andy

  6. The truck is coming slowly. I am working on friends off topic car (changing head gaskets) to help them out. Should be back on the truck soon.

Looks great Andy ... haven't looked in for some time.
Finally got certification paper for my Studie, so now it's general insurance to drive locally, to iron out any bugs. Have you been out to any of Cats gigs of late ?

Thanks man . That's good for you . I wish mine was at the state of at least yard drives . Be awhile yet for me . Local drives is the way to shakedown a new build . CAA is always a good idea as well . As far as Cats gigs I can't seem to get the time . We will be on holidays in August . Maybe we will be down to NS this summer and the timing will be right ???

Well it's been 5 months since my last post . Just finding time now to get back to the Buick . Working on tying the floor together on passenger side . I have yet to build my rotisserie but the Buick needs to be all tied together before liftoff from the frame . Here are some shots of the floor as I am boxing over the frame as there is a 6" channel that needs covered . Whoa , this new picture upload tricked me . 2 are large and 3 are thumbnails !!

Hemifried , I will check out your progress in a few minutes . That's quite a coincidence by the way . Glad to hear your back on it as well . Maybe we will hit the Nationals in 2016 LOL ! Well I am half serious , maybe not done but a rolling , running work in progress wearing primer.

Rolling chassis for 2016 ... i'm in!! I would love to have the bodywork and paint done in time for the At Nats this year so everyone can see the progress on it. It want Charlie Decker do the lettering during the show to! My biggest issue right now is trying to find a complete borg warner T85 3 speed set up for the old hemi, i've yet to find anything! After that comes the expense of rebuilding the hemi... its not going to be a cheap.

I took the afternoon off today, going to spend a few extra hours in the shop working on it.

No project as of yet Andy. We moved from an apartment in Austin TX to an apartment in West Palm Beach. My wife and I are looking for a home here. My must have is a min of a two car garage! LOL. I still look thru Craigslist for a project.I'll keep you posted.

It feels good to get back to it Antti . Progress will be fast from now until spring . Hopefully this summer I can work away at the car . I am hoping for shakedown runs the summer of 2016. Andy..

Making more headway on the pass side floor pan . I had to cut a hole in the new floorpan . Came up with this simple but effective hump . Filled in the ends and they will eventually get the seam sealer to them once the body goes onto rotisserie. I reinstalled the donor car bracing as well . Once the welds all get ground down the floor will be one solid piece , then onto the other side . Andy

A few more pictures . 1st one is of the seat frame underneath . It has a rise right where it's supposed to be, to clear the floor brace I welded in . It's like it was made for it . Couldn't resist the shots of the seat in the car . It sits perfect as well . When I am sitting in the car my line of sight is ever so slightly high of center . Nominal ! It feels good to sit in the car although it's 1 1/2 years away yet and the other side still looks like the Flintstones car !

Hope all was good at this Christmas for all . I got the car turned in the shop . Now onto the drivers side . All over again . Hopefully a little faster as I already know all the obstacles that need to be overcome . Today I welded the seam at the front bottom of the fender . Also cut the fender arch , took measurements from the already completed passenger side fender . Also finished welding the patch panel around the headlight. That's about all a guy can get done in 5 hours .We will see what tomorrow brings . Meanwhile have a look . Andy..
