Hey All Picked this one up last week.I believe it is a 37 Plymouth 5 window coupe. Its pretty solid, been sitting in a garage for 20 some years. The original motor still turns over by hand, trans shifts, rolls nice and free, heck even the front window crank still works.Plans for this one are to build it as a old moonshine car.Hopefully big block dodge power, possibly 440,727 combo.I do have a chance to grab a 392 hemi so maybe a possibility.First thing is to tear it down to the frame and install a new front end.Along the way i'll have to find a ps front and rear fender.Funny thing is it has a couple holes in the roof for a spotlight and a couple on the ds cowl, thinkin maybe it was a cop car at one time, light and siren mount?Anyways a new toy, enjoy the pics I will take some more when it stops raining.
Nice car. but i think your going to find there isnt alot of room under the hood for your wide motor combos.
Here is one that was a real whiskey runner, according to the owner. It is here getting an early Olds Rocket motor that came out of a 55 chevy drag car 40 years ago,
yeah definitely got to do some measuring.maybe a 360 combo will fit.Anyways got to keep it mopar.Any ideas what rearend will fit the trackwidth on this one?Front end will most likely be a fatman ifs or mustang II setup.
I prefer old front ends, but it's not my car. This is what he brought, and what I put in it. Early F.M. with stock Ford A arms, etc. Ever try to put coils in one of these, without a motor in the chassis? An older guy once said "it's like trying to stuff a marshmellow up a wildcats ass"
