After many years of nothing but Chevrolet Tri 5 's and X frames I'm now driving my second Pontiac. This one is a 60 Bubbletop with a 65 389 thats .030 over, cam lifters and valve springs, FI Tech fuel injection, 200R4 transmission, Vintage Air, great chrome stainless and flawless black paint
really nice!!!! better and more stylish than a chevy, glad to see you moving up in the game possum crotch's roads wont be the same
My buddy had one like it back in the early 70's.I remember putting all the cash we had together about $1.25 and driving around all Sunday with it .Love the car and that Pontiac model.
Thanks for all the nice comments. No plans to lower it and no plans for a Tri power set up. The FI Tech fuel injection does just fine. Instant start, reliability and gas mileage. The 200R4 maybe should have called it a 2004R thats a BOP unit. The car may be for sale in the near future. PM me with any offers. Gary
Friend of mine had one of those beauties when they were new. That was one beautiful and impressive car. Yours is as well.
Hope it makes you very happy. It sure is a worthy replacement for the Impala. Ponchos had such strong, muscular looks back then. The dashboards frankly outcl***ed the lower model Chevy, too.
If anyone wants to paint their cars black I have to tell you this. The paint on my Pontiac is the blackest black there is. There is no other coloring added to the black unlike some other blacks. The color is 1978 Jaguar black. You won't be disappointed. Gary
Man, that is a cool car! Love the way it sits and chrome Cragars always look good on a dark car. I've got a '64 2+2, 389, 4 speed 72K miles all original car. Have it up for sale but really thinking about keeping it and going through it. I think it has one of the most cl***y dashes ever made! Pontiacs always seemed to be a step up from a Chevy and a bit less common. Yours looks like a real nice cruiser, the kind of car you could do a cross country road trip with.
