Picked this up from Lance Dawes (Indy Lance here on the HAMB). I installed some new Astros last week and thought I'd share some pics. I had one of my club plaques chromed in Tijuana a while back and finally found the right ride to display it Lance is one cool dude and one hell of a photographer. I've been skating almost my entire life and his pics bring back tons of memories. I saw his blog for the first time while at work and couldn't wait to go home and grab my skate! Check it out... http://lancedawes.blogspot.com/
Thanks everyone! I've owned alot of rides but never a Rivi and so far it's been a real blast to cruise. Big props go out to Lance and Jake Doomey for the amazing paint work. It's even crazier in person.
Very neato car. I was looking at it when it was for sale. I just could not pull it together. Congradulations awesome score.
Lance and Jake did the paint. It's got a freshly rebuilt 401 with less than 200 miles on it. The rear is bagged with 2 chrome viair compressors and one tank in the trunk. The interior is all stock but the seats are ripped and need to be redone. Both doors are on solenoids and trunk has a hidden manual release. The car is amazingly solid, when I jacked it up for the tire swap I couldn't believe how nice the pans were!
If I remember correctly, this had a VERY affordable price tag on it. Killer score. Can't go wrong with 63-65 rivs.
Lovin' that Riv ,the wheels and especially the paint job ,,I'm 67 ,,so i was around in the '60's when a ;ot of neet cars were painted that way ,,really nice ,,a big congrats ,,but ,,just a dunb question ,,what year is that Riviera ??? reason i ask ,,is i have a chance to buy a real nice lo miledge '65 Buick WildCat with a 425 Nail Head motor ,,Factory Finned Aluminum Valve Covers & Chrome Wheels ,,,and since the Wild Cats were very similar from '63 theru the late '60's ,,would this disqualify me from the HAMB site ??? Oh ,,I sold my '27 T Coupe ,
My Rivi is a '64. I bet if the wildcat was done in a traditional 60's custom style it would be welcomed with open arms. Personally, I love those!
Hey Badfella ; Thanks ,,it's a two door hardtop too,,,white with white leather ,,under 100,000 miles ,,not a show thing ,but a good cleam driver and been in a heated garage about 2 miles from me for 'bout 25 years ,,of coarse it needs a few things ,,tires ,battery ,,etc ,,,but especially a wild '60's paint job ,,i was big on "Lace" & Scallops back then ,,i have access to a paint booth ,,a friend owns a body shop accross the hi-way from me ,,
That's just crazy!!!!!! Love the wheels and the paint is SOOOO COOL! What does the interior look like? VELVET I hope, hahaha!
