Yea, I agree. He should have started with a total piece of **** that had been abandond in a ditch along a county road for 40-50 years and then run over by a roadgrader before being used as a target for National Guard artillary training. Anyone who starts with something that even resembles the goal is just a poser. Tie him behind a truck and drag him................... Frank
I'm all for cutting up museum pieces. I'd rather see the museum that has the "after" car as a hot rod, than the "before" stocker. Good move and great looking car.
I LOVE that car!!! Lose the gas tank & put it in the trunk, it's just not safe having a bomb hanging above your "kit". Cheers.
OK, you gotta remove the spark plug wires and put something else on there, ....other than that, I believe I get aroused just looking at it.
Geezz that is so right! Have you been able to go back into the house to sleep at night? I'd just lay in it all night and drive it all day.
Please share more pictures, ditto on what everyone is saying... gives me much inspiration when looking at the rusty frame in my garage... I too am very interested in the suspension and how the 'stance' is achieved, and how far, if any it is off of a stock configuration. thanks in advance man!
What you have there, is a beautiful "real" hot rod. Built for business, a raw driver, yet oh so clean. Congratulations, and tell your friend that he built a wonderful machine. Damn! I need a bigger hard drive.
I got a PM from fab32 last night that said "check out the thread about the guy's new roadster. This should be the blueprint for your roadster. If it isn't, you need to get a clue." I have to say I agree, your roadster is absolutely stunning. I still think I'm going to leave my original paint (or what's left) but the at***ude and stance of your car is spot on, and something I hope to achieve with my next project. What an outstanding car.
Im with Brootal on this one - stuff the museums, rides like these belong on the STREET. PERIOD !! Another Limey who GETS IT !! Great car man !! Rat
What's the difference? It's still 12 inches away no matter where you put it. ...cool roadster by the way.
Nothing wrong with using the original tank. I am definately using mine. Just make sure they don't leak. The worst spot is around the steering colummn support. I am using a late 31 tank (indented firewall) so I don't have that problem.
Your nuts or your **** catch on fire first. I'll take my nuts over my **** any day! LOL ...that didn't sound quite right, did it?
Gorgeous roadster. I was in Europe two years ago and never got comfortable driving around there. Seemed like alot more crazy drivers than I am used to over here. That car should be fun going around the Round-a-bouts.
