Bought an old shift knob about 6 months ago that smelled like dirty ****. I tried every thing I could think of to get rid of the smell but no luck it still smells like ****.It looks cool so I just have to deal with it.
Hell, soak it in vinegar it seems to work for every thing else.....rust removal, window cleaner,**** smell removal on screw driver handles and shifter knobs.........................?????
Here is the answer to all your "**** smell" problems. 1) Stop picking ***. 2) Wash hands. 3) Check fingernails after pooping to be sure you did'nt pick up any scaps. 4) Take a shower to get rid of the duck ****er man!
You may find the smell to be worse when the wheel is cooped up in a box and allowed to concentrate. Might not be so bad in use.
I'm going to say go with the plastic polish. Read the last line of this write up from the Mothers website. Seems like it might seal in some of the stink. Plastic Polish Bar none, this is the best plastic polish on the market. Whether it’s your turn signal lenses, center caps, brake lights, convertible top window or the clear plastic gauge cluster cover, Mothers® Plastic Polish will clean, shine and protect the clear stuff with crystal clarity. This is a true polish — you can buff out hairline scratches, smudges, flaws and little nicks, as well as clean away yellowing and stains from your plastic convertible window. Mothers® Plastic Polish doesn’t stop there — it protects your plastics from the sun, smog, water stains and airborne contaminants with a tough layer of polymers.
May I suggest those little pine tree things that Traditionalists hang from their mirrors? Or spill some beer in the car. German beer seems to compliment those stinky cheeses.
Any girl who cant hack the cheesy smell should be left at home..... Seriously though Id wipe it clean with Laquer thinner SEVERAL times and then get your local paint store to do a scan/code read on it to retrieve a color code[its called-"Prophet"]. Then I would spray it again with modrrn paint and clear with a bumpre flex agent in the paint, this will end your smells.
Choprods is right. It's going to be cleared in plastic bumper clear. No color, just clear. That's what the painter said. BTW since I first posted this thread, the wheel has been in the open (in the garage) and it still stinks. I tried wax, polish etc - no real help.
I got super wasted one nite I mistakenly pissed in a dresser drawer in my bedroom. Who can remember in the heat of the urgent moment the toilet doesnt have a pull handle? But worse smelling than that was a Mercury monterey accessory wheel I had once. I ended up filling the cracks and priming/painting it. Smell went away. Im still thinking of restoring that dresser drawer tho...
I tryed that **** about a month ago.....the damn beer had **** floating in it....blah....it was terrible...
I got some old plates once that smelled really bad. Almost knocked me down when I opened the box! Good thing they were for someone else!
anything but that horgarden or whatever it was, its ****in unfiltered....like the whole damn thing was like the bottom of a pitcher of tea...swamp water.... BTW Buds burps tastes awesome....
