Well, I made the mistake of joining up and posting without doing an "intro post."
I have been warned of many terrible things to come if I do not do this soon. So in order to escape the inevitible wrath of the intro gate keeper I post the following: [IMG]

I live in northwest Ohio. Uuuuuuh.....I like cars....Uuuuum.... I like loud, fast, and shiny stuff.
I have been wrenching on stuff for years and and I am a lubrication valve train timing boost electronic hydra-super something expert employed by the national security division of NASA and the NRA.....sorry... kinda got away from myself. [IMG]

Ok, so I'm your every day guy in his mid thirties who has been busting his knuckles putting together stuff everyone else said wouldn't work every since I can remember.

I am currently playing with a 1951 2door fastback Pontiac.
I have built and installed a 355/350 combo backed up by a 10 bolt GM rear. The 10 bolt is stuffed with an Auburn posi drivin off of 3.73 Richmond gears. [IMG]

I have the usual dual exhaust finished off with Dodge Viper s/s tips.

Please tell me the "intro Gods" will smile upon me now. [IMG]

  15. Welcome. Lose the wheels and tires. Install some Fat ASS whitewalls on smooth chromies with baby moons. Otherwise it looks good. Just my opinion. Dean (Oh, lower it in the back some more) [IMG]

You will be happy to know that the smoothies along with 235/70/15's for the rear are on the way.
I have also lowered the rear by 2 inches since that pic was taken.

Why the hell would any lawyer call theirselves Justice?
    Maybe "escape from justice."
Or how about "just- one more dollar.?"

Hey, I thought they were cool. I was looking for some fake DOHC valve covers to go with them. [IMG]

Actually they were on the car when I got it. They are next on the list to go. However, the drivetrain took priority. I would rather look bad and go fast than look cool and be a slug.

Nope, but it appears to be an aftermarket/poly piece.
It will be gone if I ever get around to chopping the top.

The car looks pretty much like it did when I bought it last year. Last winter most of my efforts were concentrated around the drive train: engine, rear end, trans, rear leafs, etc.

Welcome, Justice. I also want a 49-52 Poncho 2 door fastback [it's on my "list"] but I'd hafta run a 50 Pontiac toothy grille. Your car is bad-ass but I agree with losing the visor and the wheels....

Don't thank us yet...the rest of us aren't done ripping you...or your car!

So what's the plans for the car...got a bit of "chopping the top"..."smoothy rims" out of a few of those posts...and the firewall reflecting shit won't be there anymore...BUT, the interior HAS to go...and the mirrors, and it needs some fender skirts...and some striping....and well, you get the pic, rite?

AND I never did read if you fessed up to being a real lawyer...I got the part about wrench totin'...just wonderin' if I missed it?

FWIW, welcome to the HAMB...hope you got a thick skin!

I like the interior...reminds me of the curtains in the "viewing room" down at the funeral home...It looks "comforting"

And I'm in awe of anyone who can put up a refecto-firewall that reflects without looking like a funhouse mirror around the mounting bolts.

Oh, Welcome to the HAMB by the way, a little late since Ryan hisself already did

Now the molded, painted bumpers have got to go along with the flush-fit turnsignals and the whale mouth grill, needs to be set back or something, set back of the garage maybe.

    Have fun chopping that top...
Have you chopped a fastback before?
Ask bout that here and you'll get 57 different ideas on how it should be done "right" (mine will be the only really "right" one.) [IMG]

Well, number one. I ain't no lawyer!
Number two: I see a traditional roll pleated interior in the future if I keep the car, something in grey.

I would also like to go with some DP90 on the exterior. Maybe some red steelies and little moons. [IMG]
