My On Topic New Years Resolution

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by desertratrodder, Dec 31, 2003.

  1. Well its that time of year to make some far-fetched, and some not so far fetched resolutions.
I think I'll make a few, relating to my cars, as I am a perpetual procrastinator.
    1. Get the 58 Ford Wagon running and driving. That will include overhaul of the motor/ trans. Conversion to disc drakes, installing A/C.
    2. Get a welder thats worth a***** so I can make a frame for the 33 Chrysler
    3. Get rid of all the useless***** in the yard.
    4. Not buy another project until I make substantial progress on another.(I couldn't put FINISH)
My main reason for posting this here is that I'll have witnesses to these things, its really easy to convince myself not to follow through.
Have a happy and healthy new year!!

    My resoloution(s)

    1. Clean out my garage so I have room to start working on 49 Chevy.
    2. Get rid of ranchero so I have more room to work on 49 Chevy & possibly park 51 Chevy inside.
    3. Start working on 49 Chevy.
    4. Get the body on 51 Chevy straightened out & at least in a clean shot of DP or something.
    5. Stop procrastenating.

J2, Thats how I read it too. LOL

Denise, You may want to hold off on the top till after you get laid, Nothing ruins the moment like the sound of a spiked heel through a convertible top. [IMG]

If I continue to hear "It's too cold out there", I just might take you up on your offer. Your not afraid of below 0 temps, are you? Your probley use to them, right?? [IMG]

Stovebolt, bring your wife to town and you can use Big Olds as much as you want.

Denise is probably the only one of us that will fulfill one of her New Years resolution before the day is over. [IMG] HRP

My new years resolution is to not make any resolutions.

And to drive the Merc and Chebby at the first opportunity.

    Already done that.

Hard to believe they both started.

Had not started either since last year.

    Jim

    P.S.

Happy newyear to all the HAMBERs out there in HAMB land.

I'm glad somebody ELSE is talking 'bout resolutin', too, thought I was the only one still working at it.

    1) Get all bodywork on the '57 Effie done and painted
    2) Get centralized with a tall toolchest and workbench
    3) Get shop space for heavy duty stuff I can't do in the townhouse garage
    4) Get the '57 running reliably
    5) Attend MUCH more events, this year!

Nice & helpful post, Happy New Gear-Year, all!
