Has it ever occurred to you that it might be posts like this one that attract some negative attention?

I think the point I'm try'n to make...traditional cars are cool... to me they are pulled out of a barn cleaned up got running...new tires and wheels... drop axel... the more old stuff the better...then there's what I call imitation builds ,not even one old wire brushed bolt on the whole car.. there's is no difference between a street rod and a traditional rod but the catalog you buy parts from..
same with the 50's and 60's cars.. cool ol truck / car with og paint thats wearing thin...

anyway.... on with the 32...one dislike I have is the mustang steering box... or should I say... the short 4 bar... I like hair pin.... haven't mess with this stuff in years... but... could i run a f1 box... and build it to mount on top of the frame??? and couldn't you just use a borgenson joint... then you could get a plain steering column???

Tradional cars will never go out of style, they are timeless, either you get that or you don't.
Why bother coming here and asking questions if you just want to argue with everyone ? Those wheels suck and I've never owned them nor ever will, same with Oakley sunglasses.
I'm out, good luck doing what ever trend your on.

I just wanna say this... sometimes, like said... I can 't see the forest for the trees.. sooo.. I ask for advise and opinions... never ever did I ask for approval or permission... at the end of the day, I listen to all the advise and opinions... then do what I want, how I want... it's my car... so don't get all bent cause I didn't do what you said do.. I make my cars.... my cars... not for sell so who cares...of corse, cars with attention to detail are the ones I like...sometimes I don't even like the car at all... but like what they did with it..

so last night, I was thinking... wonder what the cheater slicks would look like on the yellow roadster..stuck the on... right where I wanna be... so I ordered 2 more 5.50' and 2 more 15x4.5 americans...figure I could just swap the radials on when we run to bull head and havasu...

so this morning we headed out...cars and coffee in vegas and break fast... both 32's ran very well... pretty happy right now...

newest update... got the 4''x15'' wide crows toes american rims... but no tires from coker..so roadster is in waiting... on the coupe.. ordered a new drilled axel and drilled split bones kit .. i'm thinking I can raise the mustang box to where the bones will work and maybe change out the column at that time should be busy next week...

I seem to keep running into a block wall messing with the front suspension..
I got the drilled axel and drilled split bones... multitude of problems...first, they welded the steering arm to the spindle...then heat and bent the tie rod arms...the suspension works great.. and steers good... I don't like it though... the 4 bar is way too short.... the steering box is in the way no matter what I try.... I could move it up or go to reverse corvair.. f1 or some thing...I sit out there on a bucket and just stare at it...probley 40 years since I messed with anything like this....I was also thinking of flat top hair pins,,,
the way the steering is, it works with 4 bar as it goes through the bars... to put the split bones the arms would have to be heated again... don't like that idea as i don't like the idea in the first place.. to do it right I would have to remove from the steering wheel to the front wheels and start over.. I'm probley too cheep to do that to a car that works as is... so I'm just letting it sit.... not off the stove... just on the back burner on simmer...

I've done a lot of these ... all easy... take the 4 bar off... cut the 4 bar mount off... put the hair pin on...then paint and done.... the pass side will work like that... but the dr. side....night mare

I'm still just letting this car simmer... but one thought I keep having is to get rid of the blower motor... it runs and drives perfect... and maybe I'm just not a street blower motor guy... I know it costs a grip to build a blower motor, and even though it's dependable... probley not my comfort zone the 671 on there...then next.... what power would I put there??? hemi?? cad motor?? SBC with a carb???
