I met her at Kiwis BBQ.That's cool. Take lots of pictures, cause before you know it,they're grown up and you start asking"where's the time gone?" I live for my boys!
My son loves to ride in grandpa's 32's (he's got a couple)and asks me all the time when are we going to get ride in our hot rod.

Here is my little girl (not for long shes 10). She wanted grandma to make her a poodle skirt for cruise night this year. I don't think she is into the car thing (not the truck anyway) but she likes to ride in grandpa's roadster.

My girls want to help every step of the way.... can't wait until I can start building them a car of their own
The girlies in the Impala. When I was young one of our family cars was a Caprice with a bunch of bricks loaded in the trunk to get it riding right. The guys on the other side of town were shuving 2x4's on top of the axle's to lift the rear end.
They really love to stay up all night long and yell..... Apparently not sleeping and screaming are the coolest things to do when you're a month old, and if so,,, they are going to be rock stars, cause, they've got it down. we're exhausted, but they are having a good time. Are you going to famosa next weekend??
Here's my 8 year old with me at BilletProof this year, what a trooper, she got up at 4:00 a.m. to make the trip with no side windows in the car!
My son was 3 months when he went to his first major event, daytona turkey run with his pop and his grampa....we hadda ball....my dad (the g-pa) was gettin hit on by chicks all day (though he didnt notice till I told him...he's a recent divorcee...I gotta school him) cartin the little troll around....now at a little over a year old the boy walks around my truck at car shows pointing at it yelling CAR! and then making his best impression of motor noises....its funny, he also likes sitting in the drivers seat and fiddling with all the knobs and switches and tryin to turn the steering wheel...oh and beeping the roadrunner "beep beep" horn (a repop but cool none the less) he's already got the hang of the airbag switchbox and can flatten 9 gallons of air in a short amount of time....loves the up and down action.....and hands dad tools as well....granted they are the wrong tools (everytime) but baby steps eh? I take em, act like I use em and point to the one I want and keep getting tools till I can use the one I need, reaks havoc on toolbox organization but what the heck we only live once and he's gotta learn somehow....
Hey guys, i was just going through this old thread of mine from last year 'cause i was thinking of my kids - what a great bunch of kids- great pics too guys! Keep 'em coming-
My twin daughters, now 31, rode to the drive-in movies in a 1948 Plymouth Woodie wagon. When they were born my MIL wouldn't allow her precious grandchildren to be transported to the house from the hospital in our un-airconditioned 48 Plymouth coupe. When they were in high school I drove them to school a few times in the T roadster, to their absolute horror. A few months ago, our young one by 10 minutes, said she wished they had appreciated that car then and gone to school everyday in it. She's looking for an old pickup to cruise in. My son, now 22 with an 8month old daughter, rode in the roadster regularly screaming "faster, daddy, Faster!". His high school ride was/is the 57 BelAir 2door post car in the driveway waiting for some needed work. When he was 4 or 5 he rode with me to a rod run in Huntsville TX in the roadster. He came home sleeping on the floor wearing a black trash bag as a raincoat. Kids either like cars,or don't, but we love 'em all anyhow!
cars and family, it's what keeps up ticking, I just rebuilt the frond end of my 70 Ford 100 with my 2 boys in tow. Never had a job be so fun...plus the xtra hands always help
Got rid of one of my bikes in trade for a 29 sedan project, brought it home and it got invaded by my middle grandson (lives with me). He's 4 and I needed a ride to take him to kindergarden next year. (thats my story and I'm sticking to it!) So what happens, he spends a better part of the first day "driving" HIS hot rod. Now he comes out to help me work on HIS hot rod. Our friends come over and he shows them HIS hot rod.
Like many of you, the sun rises and sets on my little Hot Rod Girl. She goes to cruise nights, car shows and model car shows with daddy and loves to "Drive" the Chieftain while I'm out in the garage.
Here is my little sweetheart, she seems to rally dig working on the truck with me. I don't care if she does or not, just having here near me is enough. Then there is my older one. She really couldn't care less about cars at all unless it's a VW Beetle. But she does go to car shows with me to make me happy. For some reason she did take a shining to this rat.
Here's my 12 yr old son.......heading out to his School's Halloween dance. The cool thing is......it's not a costume..other than his 5 o'clock shadow I used with a burnt cork. He loves his Dad's style. You should have seen the looks on the teachers faces....the first day I picked him up from school in my 36!!
