Some of my all-time fondest memories are cross-country roadster chingos with my older daughter. She is 25 now, and exploits her artistic side in a little different direction, but still has an eye for old cars.
Here's Andria (LuckysGal) and her Dad (Pincher) in his *****in real deal deuce three window about twenty years ago. Here she is last year working on my model A (Without my permission, I came home to this ! ! !) I thanks all the dad's who raised their girls right, keep it up.
Here's a good chunk of our family with our pride and joy. Only my wife and older sister with 2 of her kids are missing.
Here's one of my neice from Kansas visiting last summer. I bet she never forgets her first ride in a hotrod.
You guys are very lucky to have all these "little helpers",wish i had a couple..Great thread, reminds me how much enjoyment i had, from my neice and nephew through years of racing and more.My nephew is the one who introduced me to the HAMB! He's 16 now(youngrodder1929)and has a great project underway.
My son allways wants me to take him for a ride in the 32, but here he is behind the wheel: Here he is riding with bestefar in the T: And here he is steering the T: -kg
WOW !!!!! What a great thread. When I enter my 30 Roadster PU. in a show, I always make it a point to let the kids sit in the truck. The smiles on there faces is worth more to me then any trophy I might win. You will never see a DON'T TOUCH sign on any of my cars. Bob
Three girls all grown-ups now one hates cars, one loves them and one (the youngest) sometimes does and sometimes doesn't like cars. I have no idea why. They all were exposed to pretty much the same stuff. Enjoy the time when they are young it is really special and they humor you more it seems when it comes to car stuff.
Here Is my crew and my 31 A.My daughters are young now but someday ill have three teenagers and a wife in menpause thank god for hot rods and a big garage.
no pic's to post, but i have two semi-helpers, son [17] and daughter [14]. he's a junior gear head [tries to drag more **** home than we have room for ], she's pretty specific when it comes to cars [did some work on a '57 vette, since then it's 'i want a '57 vette!'] but in a pinch, they both offer a set of hands/legs, whatever is needed few years ago, i had a 66 chevelle, and a 71 camaro ss [wifes ride], and every weekend was a car show, and 3 times a week was cruise night, kids were always helping to clean the cars, and pointing out what needed to be done next. at one point, we got two puppy dogs, what'd the kids name them? super and sport! as of late, my old car time has been dormant [i.e. no old car], but the kids have it in them, and have been asking me when i'm gonna get something again.......i guess it's in the blood
Man, those are great pics and a great old whip! thanks for sharing all of you! keep 'em coming.....This IS what it's all about!
Here's a pic of my '54 chevy with the little monster thats going to have me in prison when she starts dating... And the second is her on a buddys truck at a local show with my wife. She is about to turn 2 and she loves all of my rides, as soon as we leave the house she points at the '54 and says car car car, and if we p*** it she points to my 64 chevy long bed and says tuck tuck tuck!! If I happen to have the garage open and she spots the bikes, vroom vroom is what she calls them with her hands over her ears. My wife tells me whenever they're driving if she hears a loud car or bike she sits up straight in her seat and starts yelling daddy daddy!! HAHA She is so fun... Mike
This is my son last year when we swapped 6's in our '64 pontiac. That smile is what it's all about! It was just the two of us and he will remember it forever - and the new cuss words he learnt
