I was at the shop tonight to work on Jaker's 27 Roadster, but instead I found myself sitting in it reflecting on this past summer, The Bleedster and the weeks leading up to the PileUp. All I want is to build the coolest cars EVER. It's the way I challenge myself. It really has nothing to to with anyone, but my inner self. I've got a lot to learn. P***ion, as Germ puts it. It seems lately though, a couple of my friends have confused this "p***ion" with compe***ion. They are WRONG. I'm not competing with anyone......... Jocks are Gay. Anyway, Nick gave me this picture that he drew, at the Pile Up. It made my day. It's cooler than any trophy I could win. I just wanted to say thanks. Of course that weekend was filled highlights, "Destroy all Go Carts" "Mad Fab Craziness" "Cheater Love" "Tuck's Danger" "nummnut's speedo" "Drew's bleed wig" etc, etc. But this drawing is neat, especially after the "welcome" I gave Nick when he joined the HAMB and wanted to put wide whites on his S-10. HaHa Oops. Anyway, I truly appreciate it. Thanks Nick.
P***ion, soul, at***ude. Hot rodding lives on........ Keep the faith. Cheers, Drewfus P.S. love the sketch, very cool.
That artwork is very cool. Everone gave Nick **** about his S10, but he's got a Chevy now. Spent some time with Nick, at Back to the 50's, he's is good guy.
That was a very cool picture that nick made I got a lil black and white copy very cool. Bob hit's it right on the head. Building the cars kicks ***. Thats all I like to do. While listening to loud music. I cannot play an instrument so I just listen loud and build. I had a lowrider that won trophies and **** everywhere I went. Then a couple years ago I threw em all away except for my beat flake award "for paint" that is. The bottom line is building is fun hanging at our shop here is a ****ing blast sometimes we work sometimes we **** off with a body dolly and put the icing from dominos dippin dots all over it then have a food fight! It's all about your freinds cars come second. But we are so laid back here coming out with some kool **** is bound to happen. But I will be the first to admit I like the way my roadsters look, bob's is killer, bleedster won't to bee I am not to sure about yet " nummnuts". In my opinion a lowboy roadster is the alltime greatest hotrod. and if you guys did not know it mine are just copies of two roadsters that I still drool over every time i see them. and you guys may have never seen em either. Ward anderson's roadster the original lowboy built circa 54 in sycamore. and dave burke's roadster josh may post a pic. They have inspired me to build all my hot rods and might not even know it. But if one of my rides could be an ounce as cool as those two cars that gives me peice of mind. It's not a compe***ion! you could see that at the pileup! No egomaniacs! I see it too be an honor that guys are building cars that may look kinda like bob's or mine or hot rod mikes hahahahaha. but remember you guys will never fade that lil white coupe from wisconsin. the guy that built that has acdc size balls. This prolly made no sense but all you guys build some f'n way out **** and I am glad to have met all the people I have on the hamb and llok forward to meeting more.. pour some out for the roadster that ain't here no mo later drew
Well put guys!! It's all about fun and freinds, oh yea cars too . The pile-up kick-*** great people and with all the young guys building rods with love and tradition. **** it seems like the Flame is just starting to burn.. Yep, this place is just cool, never a day with out seeing a new rod or project the screams COOL.. Places like the pile-up and HAMB drags seem to bring them to life so you can Touch and feel real hotrods.. Thanks HAMBers!!!
Bleed, Abomber... for me .. you guys are defining midwestern roadster style. You both have "a refined p***ion".... enough for it to come out in your work. Just look.. your work speaks for itself. People like you make the pileup what it is...
Thanks, Magnet. You're definately defining the "dude with red pants" look in the midwest. HaHa. Drew's old Roadster, along with that cetain pearl white coupe were the definate inpiration for the Bleedster (Drew's the one who named it even). Along with my dad and some other close friends. It's not about "One Upping" cause I feel we are all on the same team. I love looking at Drews stuff cause it inspires me. I want him, and any of you other ***s for that matter, to build the coolest cars ever, simply cause it raises the bar. I was just down, cause it seems a few guys I know are confused by this. There's been some wierd vibes flying at me lately....... Some guys need to stick with football or wrestling. That's why I appreciated that picture so much. Looking at it made me smile. Cheaters are definatly the gayest of them all.
I ain't queer or nothin' but can I lay down next to you out of respect for the way you build a car? I have to agree with you guys. Cool is cool no matter what. It seems that people that try too hard to "outdo" each other seem to lose something about what it is they are building and end up with pile that has no character or just ends up plain ugly. I am a rip off artist as well, I copied Doc Frankenstien's truck just because I thought it was cool and original! Speaking of ugly, I had all kind of people coming up to me and asking about the spacetruck at the pileup. Everyone asked me where I learned how to do all the work, but no one seemed to believe me when I pointed at the truck and said "right there, this is the first thing I have ever built from scratch". So maybe I have p***ion since I have built what I've got in less than a year not knowing anything about bodywork.....or maybe I am just a homo too and need to get a life and spend less time in the garage! By the way I got it running this weekend. It was my 30th birthday present to myself. So next time maybe I can drive it in instead of running on nummnuts sandal and speedo power. It needs a bit of a tune up, so if anyone knows about Rochester Tri-Powers come and give me a hand!
Hey Plowboy congratulations on getting her going and happy birthday. You do know some of the most powerful men in history wore sandels not too sure about speedos .HA HA HA. Yep artist or artisan should be the word for you guys. ****, its great to see art in progress, and would to see more!!
Sorry I set the post in a different direction than the real hero car art nick good work again man. did'nt you have a pic of brian's truck? I wish I woullda had some time to walk around and look at some stuff at the show. The biggest ***s play with the biggest fake ****s Chris don't you forget that. and do not forget myself and Aarons patent but slap hand shake. happy birthday suger bunz
THANX! Some gearheads have a P***ION for building, My P***ION lies within creating AUTOMOTIVE ART - When other car guys appreciate my work that is the best cmpliment possible. (Oh, by the way, My "white-walled" s-10 looks GREAT! ) Thanx again to everyone who supports my artistic efforts -Nick

hey PlowBoy, it seems like you're carrying a big load there, chucklehead. not meant to offend- the first line in your post made me think of some phone prank cd I've heard- yo know what I'm talking about??
Nick When I walked into "Bleed's" shop I saw him staring at the picture almost in tears! (could be because he forgot to lock the damn door! (Tuck) ) Dude..., that DRAAWERING Rocks! Really "Rocks!" Mark
right on, Bob. right on, Nick. I'm glad you could show (and sell) your stuff at the Pileup. Pileup people understand. Magnet's right. there's a Midwest style developing.
I have a friend that won an award at a show and the guy next to him didn't win anything. The guy started complaining how is car was better than all the ones that won and it wasn't fair. My friend said if it means that much to you, take my award, I just came to drink beer and be with a few friends. The guy couldn't believe it, and to top it off he even took the award as if he won it. We still laugh about it. My friend has won lots of awards, but he is not into that. I think most of the time he wins is because of all the people he knows (but his cars are pretty cool and deserve anything they win)
you're right, man. It ain't about the trophies. I have a couple & most of 'em are default. You can usually win a kustom cl*** at a mustang show. There's this nutty guy I've run into at almost all the cruises & shows. He doesn't have a hotrod, so the at***ude types won't give him the time of day, but he used to have a '56 Ford back in the day & he's been keepin' an eye on the downward spiral of my '56, takin' photos now & then. That's the best trophy of 'em all. sniff sniff. By the way, that cartoon kicks ***. Django ain't too shabby either!
