Did some work on the 60 today. Had to replace a few studs in the rear end, that got messed up. Also started doing some tuning to the engine, well trying to. I wanted to check the timing but these is no timing marks. Guess I'll have to do it the hard way. The carb pops sometimes when it opens the 4 barrel. Sorry nothing worth taking pics today.

  3. Discovered my '60 is now a parts car. The frame rotted in it in the last few years. My spare frame got stolen by scrappers last year, so that's that.

When you have a long time project it stales for you. But just seeing it for the first time fires me right up, thinking, wow, what an ass kicking car. One of my high school mates got a 60 Ventura hardtop for gruation. He was a bogus driver and I was the selected driver at the drag races. It was a 389, tri-power, headers, 390 posi, four speed. We picked up a few class trophies and I still miss the thrill of it. Baby steps, set small goals and don't let the overall project overshelm you. My Dad was my car hero as well, keep him in mind and hang in there bro, you won't be sorry!! ~sololobo~

Yes baby steps. That's what I'm tring to do. Its a bit scary when you back up and look at the whole project, how much work you still got ahead of you. Sometimes gives you doubts that the thing will ever see the road again. I got alot of gremlins to work out of this thing. But taking it one thing at a time helps, and I get frustrated on one thing there is many more things to work on.
