My dad built all kinds of rides in the 60's & 70's, gasser Corvette, VW powered trikes, restored a 56 Crown Vic, etc.I've seen most of the pics, but the last time I was at my grandmothers I came across a pic I've never seen. His ex wife kept all the pics of his other rides. I'm trying to get my step brother to get them for me. Well enough story, here's the pic. Don't have any info on it, I need to call my dad and ask him.
Over the years I've found a bunch of pix of the old man's rides, and all I ever want to do is smack 'em for getting rid of them. He always replies with "it was time for something new." Either way, it's good you found it. Some inspiration for you to get some more stuff done on your own rides. Good luck on getting more pix from your bro.
what, no small block Chevy with 6 carbs? no Tats? must be a fake pic (Ha!). so, give us details ASAP-cool Daddy-O
Not to hijack the thread, but JJ, you make a good point. That pic is what a hotrodder looked like back then. It's definately a peeve of mine to see the young folk at the rod shows, especially the girls, layered with tats and piercings, but attemting to look period correct in 50's dress. They had few tats back then, and no piercings, so why does it seem like a requirement now?
That's a kool hotrod for sure ! He must have torn the streets up pretty well back then . Looks like the early 60's from the Dodge Dart in the background . Retro Jim
