  2. Austin ( @Austin kays ) we won't have any trouble finding a clutch but maybe someone here has a part number for a 9" clutch that will mate your Sag to the Flatty. May save us an hour or two at the auto parts.

@bchrismer did something similar. I’m thinking he had a clutch made?

  8. Holy crap! Someone actually read the stuff I posted in my panel truck thread! LOL

According to that thread, "I stopped by the local clutch shop. I had asked them to make a 9" clutch disc with a Chevy 1 1/8" 10 spline hub." According to my spreadsheet, the clutch disc and a new pressure plate ran me about $180 (three years ago). They had what was supposed to be the correct pressure plate, but the holes didn't line up, so I had to take it back and they wound up finally finding one that was correct.

Well got the rad mounts in and it moved up front cut and moved the steering and re welded it, notched the front crossmember to clear the pan and I think I’m gonna be okay with my clutch issue, I’ve got a 10 inch clutch with the sag splines and my Ford pressure plate that came off this engine is an 11 inch plate so can I jus bolt it on line the splines up and go on to sorting my clutch arm?

Tech tip fellas the 11 inch flywheel doesn’t work it hits the adapter and the Chevy sag clutch won’t fit under the pressure plate guess I’m jus gonna drill a car flywheel out and run a smaller clutch and pressure plate
