had to keep it under 110mph the first time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aesgO3IZn0I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyVOT5F4TKY
I used to have a pet rat that I would race against the neighbor kids rats. Made it to the State Finals at the fair, and then he got banned for preformance enhancing drugs. Damn shame.......... ROB
I congratulate, and envy, you! How many people can say they have been land speed racing? Guys are gigging ya on the rat stuff, alot of us don't care for the term. Rich
i am up to 125, with wrong gearing, next month 140. As far as the rat thing I have thick skin, just bring your ride to maxton.
Great to see a car getting driven-- hard. Was the 110 mph limit based on the car's safety equipment or your experience?
you have to prove your car is safe and will go striaght,so110,then 120 etc. guy really needs some more roll bars to be safe over 120 IMHO. Randy
First run has to be under 110, then 125, then 147 and on up I change my gearing so I am at 143 but now I have to add more roll bar on the inside. The bigest problem is the track is not smooth so my 1929 front end is a little rough this is ecta racing which is the bonniville of the east. you have a little over a mile to get up to speed then you are timed within a 100 foot trap. alot of fun.
