I have owned my 1929 Roadster for 10 months now and have loved every moment! I drove my 1929 Roadster this morning to work. I noticed bubbling at the steering support. Turns out is is a fuel leak. I daily drive a full size SUV and know better than to grab the wheel when climbing into the cab. Nonetheless, I have a fuel leak!! Is there a way to trace the leak without removing the tank?
I appreciate any advice! fuel leak.jpg fuel leak2.jpg

Try to pressurize the tank and see what you can find. You're probably gonna have to scrape some paint off, though.

That is a common malady for Model A's. It's caused by years and years of grabbing the steering wheel and pulling yourself into the car. The bracket was soldered from the factory so it's not an easy repair. Perhaps some gas proof epoxy might work but that's only a "band aid". You might try to drain the tank and pour in gas tank sealer.
