So stoked to get my Roadster to run and its first drive home in 100 degree heat.

I still have a zillion things to do but need to get the bugs sorted out, need new rear shocks next as mine are shot and no travel.
I am so stoked and thanks to ALL of you for sourcing many parts I needed.

There are many things I do intend to do later like remove fenders, run genny 32 Grill shell and use 36 Torque tubes as headers, I have all them parts but want to run in this style for a while, what do you think?

I just ordered 2 Temp gauges to keep an eye on the Motor as Summers are super Hot here, I live about 15 Miles from the shop and the other night I drove it in traffic home at about 45 MPH and as I got to my road the top of the radiator cap was******** water out but that was a hot night.

I love this A-Bone, I have a 39 Flatty and a 39 Box but 2nd gear sometimes pops out and I know thats quite common, I have fitted 36 rear bones to it and they are shortened 6 inches.
Just excited to share with you all, let me know your thoughts?

    Cheers again everyone

Very cool, Actually think it looks great full fendered!
You don't see a lot of full fendered A/V8's anymore.

I think it's perfect and wouldn't change anything. Personally, I would leave the 29' shell on it. It's nice to see one with out a 32' shell once in a while.

Man, Carpy...How could you change anything??? It's soooo right! That '29 shell on there just screams of its Model T heritage...looks just like a jewel.
Is the radiator pressurized? Looks like the early cap...

    Cool roadster

  10. Fix the cooling and keep it the way it is. Once you tire of it in a couple years then do the mods.

  11. X4 it already has great character. I would leave it alone and not go trendy with the 32 grill. Too many like that already, be different and keep it the way it is. I think it looks******in. And with the fenders you will start a trend with those on here in the next few years fenders are going to be the next big thing. But she is yours now and you have to be happy with her every time she takes you for a ride. Still a really neat car no matter what you do.

I'm with the others, you don't see many A/V8's with fenders and you've got a great set so run it the way it is. Looks sweet. You might start a new fad but at present you've got something different.

Your car (incredibly nice, BTW), your money, but....

....I agree with several posters above, THAT THING OUGHT TO STAY COMPLETE! Absolutely perfect in my eye. The ONLY thing I could even offer up would be a little more rubber rake!

    Congrats on a stellar AV8!

Just perfect. Yours will stand out with fenders and the A grille.

I agree. The car looks great as it is. Mostly stock-looking, with some lowering and open hood sides. I dig it.

You're crazy if you remove the fenders. They and the grill just make the car...
