Welcome. Very nice car, i would like to see more of it. Do you have any pics from it beginnings as a hot rod in 52? Neal
I've loved that car for many years! Had an Ardun, no hole Halibrands and black walls a couple decades ago, right? Checked it out in Rhinebeck a few times. Awesome car!
that's the one, it had a blown ardun, before that a flathead, before that a hot 4 banger, before that a 426 wedge motor, before that an olds .

But I gotta ask... what in the hell would posess a man to replace a 426 wedge with "a hot four banger"??? Sam.

[ QUOTE ] If anyone wants to see Joes deuce in its past life watch the movie Hot Rod Girl.Talk to you soon,Louie [/ QUOTE ] REALLY??? I received that movie poster as a gift for Christmas this year from Roadstar. Great looking poster. I've never seen the movie. Looks like I'm going to make a trip to the video store this weekend. Thanks for the heads up.
The car was the one in the begining of the movie that got flipped up on it's side, it was channeled and had an olds in it at the time, when the kid first did it or I should say as long back as I have the history is from 1952, it was channeled with a flatmotor in it before going to the movie set they put an olds in it, the kid that built it had to sell the car because his dad thought hot rodding was dangerous and the kid eneded up dying in a boat drag racing accident the following year, I have some nice old pictures of it I'll have to get to digital format and send them, over, seems like a bunch of cool gear grinders on this message board, I'm glad to have come in.

Thought I had seen that roadster in person somewhere and then saw your NJ location. Welcome Sixcarb. Anyone from the Garden State with a flathead can't be bad!
Superb car.I was worried what happened to it when I saw it flip in Hot Rod Girl(not that I knew it was the same car).Any more info on the history of it?BTW, the 34 roadster in the background shot of the movie clip that klazurfer posted was driven by non other than "The Riddler",out of Batman.Only saw the movie a week ago for the first time...some cool cars, but the acting/story sucks. The Rifleman should have been wearing a dog collar not a badge.
[ QUOTE ] car has been around since 52 [/ QUOTE ] you've got a 32 ford that was built in 52? bet the purists don't like that!! woops, there goes me being a dickhead again! welcome to the HAMB.
