Hello from a "millennial" in Atlanta. I'm not sure if my style of hot rod belongs on this forum but my research keeps bringing me back here. The wealth of information yall have collected over the years has been really helpful to me. I normally post in Gr***roots Motorsports, who host the annual $2000 Challenge, a sort of triathlon for cheap racecars that I love to participate in. I've built a few of those cars, even had some success. Over the last few years I've also built my...unique... '31 Ford A pickup. From questions about body channeling to how to install a windshield, my questions were usually answered by someone else a long time ago on this forum. So for that, I say a big thank you to all for keeping this hobby going. That car since sold and now I'm working on a '34 Chevy 5 window. This one was so rough and cheap, that I think I can build it to the rulebook of the GRM $2000 Challenge. I would love to post and maintain a build thread of it here so I can get input from those more experienced than I. But after reading the site guidelines, I am not sure it fits the "traditional" style, unless plopping a shell on top of a pickup frame is OK with yall.
here are the rules for the site. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/ late model (post 65) frame swaps are off topic here. we do however have an off topic forum. your build thread should go there, also please select "full image" when posting pics
